6.5 months and very happy

WORTH IT$10,500
So happy with the outcome. No swelling. My chin is still a little numb and the incision site has not healed perfectly, but it's not a big deal. Only my dentist noticed. That was an awkward conversation!

My chin has given me sooo much more self confidence. No more double chin. No more weak chin. Just a normal chin.

My nose looks so natural. I can't tell anything has been done. Other than I'm not annoyed at looking at photos of myself. I wonder what it would have looked like if more refining would have been done. But I'm glad dr Hobar did minimal work. It still looks 100% like my nose it just is less giant and less droopy when I smile.

So happy.

You look great! Sorry if you've mentioned it already, but how much was the sliding genioplasty itself? Thanks

Gave the thumbs up

I officially changed my status on real self to the thumbs up. I am really happy with it. My nose is perfect. So subtle yet I am no longer annoyed by the monstrously large size. I really had no trouble with the nose physically or mentally. The stitch underneath has healed nicely, a little discoloration, but not bad. Here is a jagged edge that I think may not go away at the suture line, but nobody will see it. I can just feel it with my finger. My nose is still tender to the touch, but it was gotten much better. It was never that painful, I was just so protective of it, and when it got bumped it caused discomfort and panic. But it all worked out! My chin was a different story. I am still getting used to my new look. But I know that over all it is a big improvement. Mentally it was hard to get used to a different looking face from the front. It must be subtle to everyone else, because even my family didn't notice. To me, it was a big change. I'm still numb in my chin.

Thanks for the post! Wish you had left your pictures up, super curious how it turned out for you. I have a consult with Dr. Hobar in November-to take a chin implant out, and have him do the genioplasty. I'm so excited. You were right not to go with implant, has caused nothing but trouble for me, made my chin look worse than before! I'm also curious. I saw 10.5 as what you paid. Was that for both procedures? What would the genioplasty alone have cost you?

I'm not sure how much just the genioplasty would have cost. I wish you the best in November! I'm so so happy with my outcome
