Doing well. Wanted to share photos. Still some swelling on the sides—but mostly going down and scars fading well! I’ve started exercising again, which, for me, is swimming laps. This surgery has been life changing in the best ways. I’m still very busty, with a full D cup, but my breasts are ‘normal’. Like, they don’t sag terribly and don’t get in the way anymore. I’m so glad I finally did it.

Looks great! Isn't it amazing to be able to wear a normal swimsuit? One of the first things I bought after surgery was a new bathing suit. Then as soon as I was healed enough for laps I went and got a really nice training suit with no bra!!! First time I had worn anything like that since I was maybe 10 or 11. This summer I swam almost every day. Such amazing freedom!

Congrats on your reduction- I can see a big change already. You are a few weeks ahead of me. How are you healing up?

I'm doing great! I started swimming laps again a few weeks ago and I can actually fit into a regular suit instead of having to wear an underwire swim bra under my regular suit! My only complaint is that my hair is thinning significantly, and doesn't seem to be turning around yet :(. How are you doing? Well, I hope!

Surgery was Thursday!

Well, the surgery went great! It lasted about an hour longer than anticipated, but there were no problems. It was 4 hours. I didn’t wind up needing any lipo, but the surgery team said the doctor took A LOT of skin and breast tissue. I have drains and they should be coming out tomorrow. My first post op appointment was the day after surgery. My next one is tomorrow. I thought I would have a lot of pain in my breasts, but it seems to only be around the stitches. I’m taking hydrocodone and sticking to the schedule to stay on top of the pain. It’s not horrible, but it’s definitely there. I have been super thirsty and only a little nauseated. Overall, I have felt better than I expected. I decided to wait to shower until after my appointment tomorrow afternoon. He said I could sooner but I thought it would be easier to wait and not deal with redressing the area on my own/with my helper. I’d rather then do it. I did get a peek and I am absolutely thrilled. I’ll post a few pictures I took earlier today and update again tomorrow. Please feel free to ask any questions.

I’m happy for you! I hope your recovery is still going smooth. I’m less then 2 weeks out. I’ve been thinking about a Reduction off and on for years, and appreciate all Sharing! No one really gets it who hasn’t gone thru it. How are you doing? Dealing with the stitches is what’s on my mind lately. Everyday something new I think of to research and cross off my list.

Thank you! I actually started swimming laps again about 3 weeks ago, so I'm doing great! It's such an incredible and welcome change to not be lugging around those big boobs anymore. I'm so happy!!!!!! The stitches weren't a big deal for me honestly. They stayed covered with surgical tape for a long time, then once that was off, they just sort of slowly went away. I'm a picker, by nature, so I had to just not spend much time looking at them, if that makes sense--lol. I would make sure everything was clean and nothing looked wrong and then avert my attention! The bottom middle/underside, where the incisions all meet tried to open up a little on me, but never quite did. It was a little iffy on one side for a few days. Let me know if you have any questions I can help with my experience. I'm so happy. It was worth every penny and the discomfort and everything. Good luck!! <3
