30yo Finally Getting Braces - Dallas, TX

I finally got my bottom braces put in on the October 27th. I had very minimal pain on the bottom compared to my upper. I just had a major tingling sensation. With my upper braces they were so painful and sensitive. Maybe it was because my upper teeth are so much more crooked than my bottom teeth though. I am so excited about having straight teeth. So basically, it's almost January which means by then I'll have a little more than a year left of braces! I can't wait to be free of braces lol. Oh another thing I'm thinking of having done is getting my teeth filed a little bit so they have a nice shape. Also I do have receding gums and will have to do something about that. I just found out about this pinhole gum procedure. Thought it was pretty cool and most likely will do that.

My teeth sometimes ache esp around my twisted canine tooth. Getting my bottom braces on the 27th and changing out my top wire at the same time. Still haven't gotten my wisdom teeth taken out. Really need to do that soon though. Maybe after I get my bottom braces on.

So I just got back from the dentist and got my premolars pulled. I previously had a root canal and crowns put on them which is why I wanted to pull them out. They were also getting in the way of flossing. The anesthetic is wearing off and now I'm starting to feel a little stinging sore. Really hoping this heals fast. I'm such a wuss when it comes to pain. I'm planning on getting a filling done next wk and then my wisdom teeth pulled middle of next month. Sept 1st is when I get my top braces put on. So excited for that. In the mean time.... I need for this ibuprofen to kick in. I want to be pain free
