Day 3 post op

Yesterday afternoon I decided to quit taking my rx pain medication. Have not taken any since then. I feel so much better without them. I was always so drowsy and constipated even though I have taken so many stool softeners. So I knew I needed to get off the rx pain pills in order to go to bathroom...(unless I smoke one or two cigarettes. After my c section I smoked a cig to relieve some stress and right away I was able to relieve my constipation. Again, I don't recommend this to anyone, especially this is the moment where your body needs you to be smoke free).

Stay focus...
Without the rx pain pills today was not bad. I have only been taking Aleve 3x a day per Doctor order. I thought pain would be unbearable but so far not bad. Coughing is hell though. I can't imagine being sick at this time. I still have 4 more days to go for post op visit which I'm hoping he will take my drains out. [RS bleep] fingers!
As I mentioned on my previous entries about mentioning how I was able to quit smoking for this mommy makeover surgery. How I was able to quit smoking was first having a quit date in mind. Quit date is very important because it provides groundwork. It gives your mind something to focus on. Another thing to keep in mind and should probably start immediately, is that since smokers usually have a schedule about when they take their smoke break, it's important to break that schedule. Try not to have a pattern. Not having a schedule can make it easier when your trying to quit. Last, Slowly decreased cigarette limit per day. Based on your quit date, let's say 2 weeks from now, you set a budget on how much cigs you can smoke a day, decreasing it by one. By the time you are on your last day to quit you should be smoking only one cigarette to none. So for example, I plan on quitting 14 days from now. Since I smoke about 8-10 cigs a day, I start off at 8 cigs on my first day. Second day I go down to 7. Third day usually starts getting hard because now I'm under. 4th day I go down to 6 cigs. 5th day and depending if this is the hardest day since I am way under my normal amount of cig smoked/day, I would keep it another day of 6 cigs rather than going down by one. Day 6, 5 cigs. Day 7, 4 cigs. Day 8, 4 cigs. Day 9, 3 cigs. By day 12-13, your cig per day should be 1. Somehow you need to get your one cigarette to last you all day. Day 14, you should be down to half cigarette or none at all.
Ok I'm starting to get tired..probably too much writing.. I know. But, you get the picture. I've tried this technique twice and it has always helped me. My problem is that I just need to completely stay away from cigs. No more "just a puff" attitude from me. ????

My implants were smooth round high profile 300cc's. So far I'm liking the results. Maybe I could have gone just a little bigger.

Post op & day 1

Well I made it to the flat side and thank God alive too! Whew! I woke up back to my room. I was very nauseous and couldn't keep anything down. I pretty much slept the rest of the night. Didn't eat for 24 hours. I didn't feel much pain since my doctor had left some pain meds around my abdomen and I had a pain pump. Finally at about 5am I realized that the pain pump was causing my nausea and vomit. So I stopped using that and requested for pills instead. The pills I can cut it in half and know how much I'm really taking in. I don't recommend pain pumps to anyone because it's really hard to tell how much you are taking. Anyhow, I was finally able to eat and keep it down. Then I was also able to get up and walk two laps from one end of hallway to the other end. No pain really. So far my recovery is going very well. Left hospital around 11am next day. I was ready to go home. Here are my pre pictures and post pictures.

Very nice and laid back. I like that I could bring a picture and he takes it with him to the operating room so he can have an idea of what I like and combine it with his professional experience.
