Tomorrow I am scheduled to have TT, BA, and lipo around waist area. I have been waiting for this for 21 years.
My background starts off having my first child 21 years ago at age 18. Since then, no matter how thin I was I always had a wrinkled, pouch tummy. The most I hate are the stretch marks. I hated looking at them more than anything. Fast forward today, I have twins that are 1 year old. I started smoking again soon after they were born. Smoking helped me get rid of the constipation and the irritation, and anxiety I felt then after having C-Section. It was my escaped at that time. I knew it was wrong to start smoking again especially when I just had babies. Of course I never smoked around my babies. Anyhow, after going through 3 different consultations I was told that I needed to quit smoking at a minimum of 2 weeks prior to surgery. Reasons are that smoking stays in your system that long even after quitting. Another reason to quit is that smoking constricts your blood vessels, making it harder for blood to flow to smaller blood vessels to aid in healing of our tissues/skin. Without enough blood flow, our skin could literally just die, and to me that's even worse than having my permanent stretch marks. Plus, I had promised myself that I needed to quit smoking by the time my babies turn one (I'm a little over).

Hope this story encourages you to quit smoking. I will post more later on how I was able to quit smoking and my surgery results. I need to sleep now. My surgery is in 8 hours and I need to wake up in 6.

Best of luck on your surgery today. I'm sure this community would love to hear an update when you feel up to it. Congratulations on quitting smoking, it's such a difficult thing to do and it will definitely have an impact on your healing.

Well I made it to the flat side and thank God alive too! Whew! I woke up back to my room. I was very nauseous and couldn't keep anything down. I pretty much slept the rest of the night. Didn't eat for 24 hours. I didn't feel much pain since my doctor had left some pain meds around my abdomen and I had a pain pump. Finally at about 5am I realized that the pain pump was causing my nausea and vomit. So I stopped using that and requested for pills instead. The pills I can cut it in half and know how much I'm really taking in. I don't recommend pain pumps to anyone because it's really hard to tell how much you are taking. Anyhow, I was finally able to eat and keep it down. Then I was also able to get up and walk two laps from one end of hallway to the other end. No pain really. So far my recovery is going very well. Left hospital around 11am next day. I was ready to go home. Here are my pre pictures and post pictures.

My implants were smooth round high profile 300cc's. So far I'm liking the results. Maybe I could have gone just a little bigger.
