This was done for me. I needed a much-needed self confidence boost. I cannot tell you the last time I enjoyed looking at my body in the mirror. Of course, my husband says it never bothered him but I needed to do this for me. I am still in the process of deciding how I feel as I am only a week out as of today. I did however learn 4 operations later....one elective (this BA) that I likely have a morphine allergy and or sensitivity :O ( 10 minutes into my surgery I had to be given Benadryl and switched to Demerol because I broke out in hives during my operation right after previously complaining about itching and severe stomach pains/nausea seconds after being given morphine intravenously which sucked because I already could not take fentanyl due to an allergic reaction I had back in 2009 during the birth of my twins. Now it looks like I might be down to just one medicine left for me to take in the future. I am currently waiting on dermatology to schedule my skin test to confirm the allergy per my anesthesiologist recommendation..... Now back to my breast review: I would like to say pick the size " YOU" want and stick with it. Don't be me and learn the hard way! I went back and forth on size mainly bc I had outsiders telling me my frame was way too small to carry the implant I wanted 485-525cc. I am 5"6/5"5 1/2 inches tall; 133 lbs. and a 34 deflated d breast cup. Initially I picked 485cc on May 07 and made my down payment to hold June 7th as my surgery date, but on May 22 when I had to pay the remaining balance I had thoughts of increasing to 525/550cc after staring at boobs for almost 2 weeks straight! However; once I tried on 550 I was like "oh hell naw" and agreed that I could possibly pull off 500cc just fine but nothing bigger. However I felt inclined to marco polo my evil nemesis aka my twin lol a pic of me in 500 and she was like you better not be walking around looking like a circus animal so 10 minutes later when the doc came back in the room we both agreed that 500 would be the most I should carry but, since the right would likely have to be larger I decided to let him work his magic as long as he never went above 500 not even 510 lol. In the end of that whole dramatic episode I just decided to let my doc be the professional and use his best judgment which in the end was between 450 and 500 and tada here I am 450 and 485. However sadly now I sometimes experience the boob regret I never thought that I would and even kind of wish I just said 500-550cc bc I already technically had an image to play off of since my identical twin sister had her boobs done for a year already before me (425L/425R), but she had mentor moderate plus with a lollipop lift and implant on both breast. I chose Natrella Soft Touch bc my doc said that was apparently my wish pic look. In the end my doc ultimately also decided my size and chose 450L and 485R. Two separate sizes for two separate breast procedures lollipop lift and implant on left breast and just an implant on right because doc did not believe right needed lift since the nipple was already in a good position and would just end up too high and poke out bras and swimsuits if it were lifted anymore. I even made him reverify this at each additional preop visit. Also, word of advice if going under muscle I would suggest going the largest cc you are willing to go because the implant will be pushed down and appear much smaller in the end. Thanks for taking the time to read my post and I will try my hardest to keep this updated at each additional post op as well as answer any questions.

Hi! I hope your recovery is coming along well. I think you’re right though...you definitely could have sported the larger cc. But that’s nothing a good bra can’t fix! Please keep us updated on your progress. :-)

We shall see. I see my doc on the 10th and hope he can calm my nerves. The right just does not seem to be moving at all and the left spasms all the time leaving it riding slightly higher. I can literally hear and feel the shift whenever I bend over. Hopefully all is well and no revision will be necessary I haven’t even reached 3 wks yet so I know I need to exercise patience. Something I never learned lol

Muscle relaxers were my best friend during the first few weeks. Those spasms were crazy. Get ready for the nerve impulses though. Ugh. It felt like electric shocks; but I also tapered off pain meds because I hate the feeling of numbness. I also had to be VERY patient. Because of the large implant that I selected, they took forever to start dropping. But now they’re GORGEOUS!!!
