Provider Review
I first went in to Dr. Kasden's office when I was beginning my inquiry into fixing my post-baby tummy. I was impressed by the time he took for that visit, nearly 2 hours, and that he was willing to speak with my other doctor about some medical conditions I have to make sure I was safe for surgery. That immediately put me at ease. When we finally did an examination, he spent time explaining what, based on my concerns, he suggested we do and never once did I feel like I was being pushed into doing anything unnecessarily. He isn't a doctor that is going to up-sell you or pack you into a busy day of surgery like you are just another number. He wants to make sure you are a good fit for me and vice versa. After that I immediately booked my TT and MR with him and cancelled the other exploratory appointments I had with other surgeons in the area. I felt well informed at my pre op and day of surgery he was there beforehand to talk to me and put me at ease. Besides some issues with getting on the right pain meds/dealing with nausea to no fault of the Dr's office which he quickly helped me find the right balance, my recovery has been complication free and now that I've seen from other women what can go wrong when you try to become your own doctor or have drains pulled too soon, I am so happy that I put my trust in Dr. K and listened to him. I'm over 5 weeks post op and it hasn't failed me yet! The one area where I do think there could be some improvement is with managing appointments. There were a few times where I had to wait a long time to get in a room and see the doctor or an appointment time was messed up. Beth at the front desk is a sweetheart and so compassionate. I just think they are busy and maybe having another person on staff or a nurse that sees you first to your room and does some of the initial patient care might not be a bad idea. It definitely isn't enough to deter me from going to Dr. K for any other procedures or recommending him to my friends (which I have already done and continue to do).
