I have been overweight my whole life - as long as I can remember anyway. I lost 92 pounds so far and hope to lose an additional 17 pounds until my surgery. My health insurance actually will pay for the tummy tuck as I have some health issues going on because of the whole skin thing. So thankful for that. I just hope I will look better, really. I hope I will be able to wear T-Shirts without looking pregnant...

Congratulations on your weight loss. I am on the same boat as you with regard to all of the extra redundant skin. Its difficult sometimes to truly appreciate all of the lost weight when you still have all the excess fat and skin that literally hangs off ur body. I am scheduled for a fleur de lis tummy tuck in 3 weeks. I wish u all the best.

I am veryyyy nervous. I just keep thinking of all the things that could go wrong, but I feel that I have to do this for myself or I will never be happy or feel that my weightloss journey is complete if I have to see all this lose skin and hanging fat for the rest of my life.

So for weeks from now I will be on the flat side. I have a change of the Plastic Surgeon, but I hope this new one will understand why I hate my belly so much and what I would love to look like.
Feeling prepared although I failed at losing weight.

Might add Lipo to the surgery

Will meet the Head of Surgery of my clinic to talk about a possible lipo on Monday. After reading everything here, I figured, I will not get the look I want without lipo. Pretty excited now!
