Brilliant Experience!

I had a ganglion cyst on my left wrist for a total of ten years. I had been seeing doctors and asking for it to be removed for nine years, after it began to cause pain and other issues with the wrist. I was wearing a splint every day for three of those years. Every doctor and surgeon I had met with told me they didn't feel comfortable operating on my wrist, because of the cyst's proximity to my radial artery and median nerve. Mr. Venus was the first surgeon I had met in my nine year long quest to have it removed to tell me they would be comfortable removing it. During our consultation he was friendly, informative and reassuring. He came across as a very nice and genuine person, which made me feel confident in choosing him for my surgery. The surgery itself went really well, and Mr. Venus was brilliant. I was very anxious to have the surgery, and he was so patient with me and kept checking up on how I was feeling as the surgery went on. All in all I don't think I was in theatre for more than an hour. I went home that same day. After the anesthetic wore off I was able to use my hand as normal again later that day. After five days I could take larger amounts of weight again with my wrist, and was able to pick up and hold my daughter (something my cyst had previously prevented me doing for any amount of time longer than a few seconds). I did not need any pain relief during my recovery, and in all honesty I never experienced any pain in the wrist after I came home. After ten days any swelling or bruising was entirely gone, and I was so confident with my wrist that I made the decision to go back to work early. One month on from my surgery and I am still completely thrilled to pieces with the result. My scar is neat, it healed fast, and I no longer experience pain in my day to day life. I am able to do more with my daughter, and I feel like I can do anything a normal parent would now. I have Mr. Venus' fantastic work to thank for that. I would definitely recommend him!
