My jaw surgery is getting worse

My face now looks worse. Half of it is like sliding away. Also mid face and eyes look sunken. This is a real disaster. A week ago had to go through another small surgery, because of inflammation. Am swollen again, I cannot open my mouth, and I can barely talk. This surgeon really did a bad job... I am now looking for ways to repair my face, if this can be done...

Hi, could you please post before and after photos? Maybe it's not as bad as you think
It is very bad, to the point that I cannot see my before photos... they make me feel so bad. A week ago went through a surgery again due to inflammation problem I had. She said she also adjusted the bones a bit... I only found out when surgery finished. I am swollen again. This is a never ending story. I am planning to do revision some time in March-April. I am praying every day to get my old face back... or at least a better one than the one I have now. If everything turns out well, then I will post my before, after and after photos... I think this is the worst jaw surgery on the planet... I even feel that my skull and forehead became bigger...
Hello Lulaki. What are the news?I hope things are getting better and that you have a plan with a surgeon for a revision. I am on the same boat as you, I have multiple appointments with some surgeons to try to find a solution. I am very depressed.
Hello bibi958. Things are not getting better... unfortunately they are getting worse. Half of my face is sliding to one side, and my mid face is sunken. Soft tissues on my cheeks are destroyed and my cheekbones are gone. Really do not understand what this surgeon did. Maybe is the most terrible jaw surgery ever. Imagine I cannot see myself in the mirror anymore. Everything looks out of proportion. Not sure how someone can fix all this disaster. I am so depressed too. Hopefully I will be able to do my revision and plastic surgeries sometime in March/April. I have been talking to various, and they seem very confident about putting things back in place. What is your problem and what are your plans?
Great to know you found doctors you feel you can trust. I was supposed to have a double jaw surgery but while opperating the surgeon decided to only do the upper jaw and a genioplasty. He impacted a lot my maxilla and now my nose looks very wide when I smile. Also the genio doesn't look natural at all and my face looks longer and thiner than before. I also hate looking to myself in the mirrors and 3 people in my family told me I looked better before. I just feel terrible and I am feeling hopeless, regretful of having the surgery in the first place. I am waiting for my appointments now, wishing that a surgeon will help me

Hello there! No news at the moment... my face is getting worse and worse. I am so desperate. Is as if I had hemifacial microsomia or something. Half face is sunken, and there is a lot of jaw asymmetry. Should know something by the end of next week. I am planning to visit Dr. Raffaini in Italy, or maybe some doctors in Korea. What about you, do you have any solution?

Don't go Korea trust me.. there are a lot of botched surgery there. and language barrier it will be very difficult to express what's your problem

I'm sorry for you.. I had bad results from my first surgery like you, I used to cry each time I saw my old photo and I missed my old symmetric normal face. The surgeon moved my lower jaw forward in slanting way, it was a nightmare. I dreamed about having a revision for 8 years and I had one before 1 month and Unfortunately I can't see a big different Unfortunately.. what a waste of money and time..
But i'm sure you will find a good surgeon, there are a good surgeons in Germany and Belgium.
Really? I am so sorry to hear that. I relate so much. I spent 4 whole months in bed. I could not be with my children. The only thing I was doing was getting in touch with doctors around the globe. Doctor in India helped a lot. But I will need to go through another surgery. I also had forehead surgery. As the first 'doctor' cut bones she did not have to, my temporalis muscle got very weak. So this affected the shape of my skull and forehead. When neurologist saw me, said this is the first time is happening... a jaw surgery to affect the skull. What a nightmare! What are your plans now?

Only 3 months ago I had double jaw surgery. The only thing I really wanted was a shorter and more symmetrical face as I thought I had a long face. Now my face looks longer and skeletical, and my cheek bones way disappeared. My chin looks too pronounced and big! The upper jaw was moved too forward and I really look like a chimp. My lips end where the nose tip is and the space between lips and nose is bigger now. She also moved the upper jaw down so as to show more teeth (said my teeth were too short). There is nothing I like about this new face. Every day am trying to find my old self in the mirror, but I cannot. I know it is too early to tell, but I do not think anything will change... just the swelling will go away. I really do not know what to do. The doctor sees nothing of this, and says that all went very well and my face is better than before. I am really so depressed and sad. Can double jaw surgery be reversed? And if yes, how dangerous this is?

This is really terrible! I am talking to doctors now if it is possible to reverse everything... It seems that you can do it, at least up to a point. Fingers crossed!!!
What have the doctors said exactly? What do you mean reverse up to a point?

I am talking to different doctors. One hospital said that yes you can reverse it, but maybe not 100%. This means that if bones were cut, this is difficult to redo. At least this is what I have understood. But for me it is enough if jaw can go slightly backwards... I hate the monkey look. It seems that upper part of my face has nothing to do with lower part. Face harmony is lost completely.
What were your movements? How much was it advanced?
The surgeon did a counterclockwise rotation to my jaws. Now my lower face is too prominent from the front and side view.

I'm going to see my original surgeon, and yes, I want to reverse it. My family all agrees that it's worse.
My surgeon says she cannot reverse. I am now in contact with other doctors to see their opinion. I know... it is worse. I do not understand why the perform this... They damage faces! Hope you can solve your problem really...

Am contacting various surgeons abroad. I will need to do something. They all say I will have to wait 6 months to see the final result, and then yes, later we must do something. I do not trust my original surgeon. If she did it badly once, she will do it badly twice... Need to find someone with good sense of harmony and taste.

Yes... also gums show a lot... total disaster! No bone graft at all... actually my face is empty everywhere. Very skeletical. Went to see a doctor in Italy, and he could not believe that someone can perform such a bad surgery.

Hello Kingusia. I went to see Dr. Raffaini. He said that he could maybe do something at the end of September. Meanwhile, I found an amazing doctor in India, and I went to see him 2 months ago. He was shocked when he saw my situation... But at the end he managed to help me. My face is almost like before, and most of medical issues are solved. Might need to go back for small things. His name is Dr. S. M. Balaji... amazing doctor and amazing person!
What did Balaji do?
He did everything from the beginning... Restructuring my whole jaw! Removed bone from body, and put it on the jaw that was completely destroyed and broken.
