My motivation for doing tummy tuck was to enhance...
My procedure went very well, during my pre-up and post-up one of nurses Shannon was very sweet and warn to me, another nurse Leanne was very nice to me too, most his staff members have a warm attitude.
Before my procedure my stomach was very big that I could not wait to get my tummy tuck, I was so embarrassed to remove my clothes in front of people, my stomach became a handicap to me dressing up to out was a problem.
The first two months after my surgery I could not fit in to my pants, but now I can, but was frustrates me now after the surgery is that my Stomach is not flat like I thought and hoped it will be, it's been four months now since I had the surgery, the last time I went for post-up in may, the nurse told me that I am still swollen, that my stomach will still go down, we are in June now and to be very honest I have not noticed any other change in the size of my stomach since the surgery, yes a lot of fat was removed but I expected a more flat tummy, my upper abdomen is still big and lower abdomen under the incision is kind of swollen or puffy, and the sides of my stomach are uneven. Sometimes I feel stiffness and tightness on my lower abdomen.
At first, I was happy with my stomach because a lot of fat was taken out, but for the past month and half I have not seen any significant change and I am wondering if my stomach will be evened out on the sides.
Don't get me wrong, Dr. Basu is a good plastic surgeon, but I expected my stomach to be somehow flat by now. Anyway, I have read a lot of reviews on line and most plastic surgeons on real self advised to give it six months to start seeing the final result, if that does not happen I will visit my plastic surgeon again to find out the problem.
The nurse ( Ms.Mary) that took care of me before my surgery at Northwest Hospital was just a wonderful human being with a heart of gold, the Anesthesiologists were very warm and the nurse that took care of me in the recovery room was very warm and patient. I am grateful to everybody who contributed in my procedure, Dr.Basu and his entire staff.
I hope to see more changes in abdomen.
Provider Review
To me Dr. Basu seems to be a good plastic surgeon, during consultation, I didn't feel rushed, he was patient and answered my questions. His patient coordinator Brittany was actually the one that convinced me to have my procedure with Dr. Basu, because I had another option to do it with a different surgeon. During pre-op and Post-op one of the nurses Shannon was very warm and nice in explaining to me how to take care of myself before and after the procedure, and whenever i come for my post-op, she also told me what to do and hat not to do. Leanne was very encouraging during my pre-op she told me what to expect before and after surgery. The lady that answers the phone at the Fanin office is a very nice and polite lady. Overall my experience with them was good.
