Provider Review
Nice, listened to my concerns about previous umbilical hernia surgery. I had interviewed other physicians before deciding to have my surgery performed by Dr. Davila. The other doctors did not believe that my prior hernia distended my abdominal muscles and nor did they believe that I worked out on a regular basis. Upon meeting Dr. Davila, I kind of expected the same unprofessional treatment but was pleasantly surprised when he actually listened to what my obstacles were; previous umbilical hernia surgery, female pcos issues, and the excess fat which appeared between mid 2012 and 2013. I explained that I changed up my exercise routine, cut out milk from my diet, and tried diet supplements to get the excess weight off but nothing had worked. He said that he believes I do have a hormonal imbalance which needs to be taken care of and that he could work around the mesh in my stomach and re-construct my belly button carefully as to not have the stalk of it die. He demonstrated knowledge on that the best surgery was for my body and skin elasticity, explained that I still need to take care of my hormonal imbalance and told me that he would do his best to get my bikini body back. I already have been watching what I eat and exercising and unlike the other doctors with whom I had consultations with, he did not treat me as if I were lying. He listened to me a suggested a plan to meet my goals. I am glad I made the right choice by using Dr. Davila to perform my surgery.
