Cutera Enlighten Laser Tattoo Removal

Hi! I can’t believe I actually started! :) Yesterday was my FIRST session with the Cutera Enlighten. I removed 4 finger tattoos, a quote on my arm, and a lotus/mandala on the inside of my arm. I was quoted atleast 8 treatments. The first thought that came to my mind during the treatment was: wow it’s not as excruciating or painful as imagined and thank goodness I didn’t let that fear not have me not go through with it! With this machine it definitely felt more of a rubber and little snap, rather than hot grease or knives. It felt similar to a tattoo but not as scratchy, more of a pulse snap. Your adrenaline kicks in, it does hurt (like a quick temporary little zap) but I wouldn’t say anything you can’t get through! Now, my technician (she’s a CME, CCE) and works at a very reputable medical spa alongside an MD. She was amazing! She went slow, used an ice roller to go over the area with as she zapped it, which felt SO nice because it gave small breaks, and cooled it down instantly. When she went faster to cover an area and zapped in the pulses (like you see in all the YouTube videos to show “how quick it is”) that did hurt more and was a bit more whoa but nothing too crazy since she didn’t do it like that the whole time by giving me time to relax and cool it! When I’ve watched videos it seems a lot go SO fast and long over it with no breaks, but I preferred them! It made it almost like SO easy. I’d say that plays a HUGE part. In who’s performing it to take care of you and have you be comfortable. It was SUPER quick! Even with the breaks I asked for. For all of them took like 15-20 min with my breaks! (I liked the breaks because it made it not get to that point where you are in pain so I think that could potentially help!) now.. going to someone who uses no cooling.. I would imagine it’d be much harder to get through. This way, I’m excited for my next one! They called me in prescription numbing cream for my next time to apply before I go, so I’m sure that’ll be even better! It felt a little like a sunburn after (Not itchy yet for me!) and a bit tender in a couple areas but I slept fine, woke up great, and I’ve already seen some fading! Lol I feel that my experience can hopefully help you to go through with this. On my way there I was thinking like is this worth it? After, I’m like YES! You CAN do it! Remember how strong you are, courageous, and each time you can get through it! I had more mental/emotional stress that surrounded my Tattoos due to getting them during very low, traumatic times in my life and thought I had to accept that, or it showed me my progress that I got out of it, which it does, but they served me during those times. Now I can let them go, and move forward. Emotionally and mentally! My mental state is so much more important than money. This is expensive, but my heart and lively hood of happiness is more important than a dose of pain and a piece of paper that comes and goes. But MYSELF, my self-love, my affirmations of loving my body through this process of letting go what no longer serves me, that’s something that’s priceless. I hope this forum can help you, I want to be as real and sincere and help whoever is going through tattoo removal, thinking about it, or regretting a tattoo! I’m here for you! :)
