I have done lipo, TT and thigh lift here in my home country. The result is great but, I have my last problem which is my excess skin on my butt due to me losing 65 lbs for the past 10 years. I've decided not to do it here is because there is not a single woman in my country that has butt like me; huge. So, the doctors here never once perform a butt lift. Even, my ps said you should go to the US even though Korea is now very big with plastic surgery which is like close from where I come from. He said, if you want a butt lift you go to a country where they come from which is the US! Sorry, but I went to school in the US for 8 years and ate so much that my weight was once 210lbs! So, after 3 kids and a settle weight of 130-140lbs through changing my lifestyle and exercise religiously, I finally started to "fix" my body starting with lipo, tt then thigh lift. So, after a throughly research I emailed Dr. Hughes, quick respond! but, then his office didn't returned my email whatsoever to schedule a date. So, I am looking something closer to home and stumbled a Dr. in Sydney. He responds in a day or two but, again his office didn't returned my email after i gave a complete info (pictures, stats and the likes). While, I was waiting for that Dr. Hughes email me again and asked me if I had schedule a date. I told him what happened and his office's staff (Adam) emailed him again and we finally set a date after I made the payment. It's that easy and quick. I am sure they have so many enquiries and sometimes they just don't do emails back and forth for someone who they are not sure if they wanna do it with that particular doctor. I really appreciated that Dr Hughes made the effort to email me because if he didn't, he would loose one client because I would go to someone who would be active enough to answer my emails. I am preparing myself to fly there and looking forward to the end of my journey for myself. Not for my husband, not for my kids but for me. It should be ok sometimes for a woman to be selfish and this is the time where I will leave my kids with my husband, away for 3 weeks to get the butt that I always wanted. I opt for three weeks because I don't want to be uncomfortable during the journey back home and I want to be sure that everything is ok. I'll post my before pictures sometimes this week

I have fully paid with cc and try not to read reviews, afraid that I would stumbled negative reviews on Hughes and decided against it. Traveling more than 10,000 miles away from my husband and family for a butt lift is nerve wrecking!
I am planning to stay at Pearl recovery center in Beverly Hills instead of a hotel room with a nurse attending me. I just thought if I have to guts to travel this far and spend an obscene amount of money might as well do it all the way. I need the comfort that no one can give me unless I am going to a place like pearl. I had been working so much and sending my kids to the best school in my country and I am not the type who spend a lot on personal things such as branded bags, shoes, jewelry and useless things. So, I am making an excuse that this is a splurge that I well deserved.
The draw back is that I haven't gotten an email from Dr. Hughes and pre op list. It's true that every time I emailed him, he returned it promptly. But, I haven't gotten an email on the do's and the don'ts. It's true I could just research it myself and after 3 procedures, I know what's to avoid prior to the surgery. But, I thought there's a list that I should be getting. Has anyone gotten a list before the surgery? At least in my country my ps would give me a list and discuss it one by one, should I ask again? I have emailed them twice. Both to the Dr and Adam.

Hi Tobiana... I'm from Cali and have scheduled my sx with Dr. Dass for 2/27 and you'll still be in BH! I'm happy you decided with Hughes, I think it was a good choice. I was torn between him and Dass myself. Hughes had many more reviews and seems more popular. Ok so I have yet to get a dos and don't list as well and wld like one from my doc instead of reading them from our RS sisters, although I'm grateful for all their posts. I Was only told to stop taking my birth control 2 wks prior. They did say that I did not need to take vitamins. I think I'll find out the rest at my preop on 2/12. Your a very strong woman and I admire you taking this scary journey. I have much faith too and know you'll be very happy in the end. Please keep me posted and I wish u the best!

hi there, Yes! I will still be in LA til probably first week of March. I want to make sure I am OK mentally and physically before heading home and back to my daily routine. Out of curiosity, what was your reason of choosing Dass? I am a bit scare of his place because it's not in a hospital. But, I have not found a negative review on him and plus, if I could trust a doctor in south east country for my tt, thigh lift and lipo I should trust this American doctor right? with all the regulations and everything..I guess it's the travel and the I am alone situation is what scares me. What kind of procedure are you going to have? I am wishing you luck on your journey!

Hello,...sorry I had a bday brunch to attend to today. I truly believe u will be in good hands with dr Hughes. I saw him then Dass in the same day and Just got a better feeling from Dass, But it was tough making my mind up, so either way i believe we will both be happy. I've had a few surgeries before where they have their own sx facilities, I don't think I've ever had a sx in a actual hospital before but a very professional setting. Take a deep breath and have faith and think of the outcome and u will be fine. I'm here for u

Thank you! That means a lot and thank you for assuring me that a plastic surgeon usually does their surgery in their own clinic. I was a bit worried at first since here in my country, they do it in a hospital. I hope yours turn out to be great. I will keep you upadate. So, basically this is your first time? I have a lot of lifts so far and hopefully this is my last lift!
January 26, 2015
Oh no, I had a BA when I was 28, then a lift at 42, although many said I didn't need one. I just wanted them high, I think I like the fake look. :) I also had rhinoplasty and a revision to that and still not happy with nose, but it was improved. I'm very excited about this sx and scared, mainly how I'm not going to be able to sit for weeks. I hope I'm one of the lucky ones with no drains too. My mom had a TT when she was like 63 and had the drains, I hated to see her like that. She had facelift at the same time. I wish you the best in your journey, I'm excited for you!

I have butterfly in my stomach this late afternoon, sweating hands and thinking what on earth am I doing travel that far for a surgery? My husband never complains about how I look like and certainly my kids could care less. So, why do I care so much about my butt? If I hadn't paid full amount, maybe I would called it off. I guess that's why they are required future patients to pay full amount to secure a date. I bought tickets, give my cc for Pearly so I can stay there for the next 5 days after the surgery, paid the airbnb for the next 7 days after Pearl before heading home. I've spent an obscene amount of money for this butt, for something that I guess I am the only person that care about how my behind looks like. crazy. But, what's done is done. I am going to LA this Sunday, wish me luck ladies. I really need it.

Wow grl. just found you here and you're on your way now. I'm so happy for you and glad to see that I'm not the only one having a long flight. My travel is going to be about 12-15 hours in total - from Denmark to Miami. I understand fully why you chose the RH, there you can have the support you need. Look forward to hear your next update - but for now: Relax and take care of yourself :) Happy healing.

I'm going May 2'th and will have the srg (BBL) May 5'th. I don't have anyone with me - that's why I'm staying at the RH. I think I would feel very lonely in a hotel room or condor.

I agree. Having a support system in whatever form is very important to go through this jouney. The Owner of The Pearl came yesterday to Greet me and make sure that I am OK and assured me that everything Will be FINE and she'll take Care of me. That's really Nice to hear knowing that i have no One here in this Country to help take Care of me. I'll keep you posted including my journey back home. I am staying for two weeks after The surgery to make sure that i am really fit to fly home
