Day 2

Recovery is going well! I'm able to get up and walk around just fine. Slowly, but fine. My incisions drained a lot of blood yesterday and stopped around midnight, and I haven't really had any bleeding since. I covered the incisions with either gauze + tape or band aids. I had to walk a half mile to the pharmacy to pick up band aids, and that was fine. I feel surprisingly good for having had surgery just yesterday. My butt and hips are definitely tender and sore, but feel better when I'm laying on my stomach. I talked to him and he added 900 ccs to each buttock and 240 ccs to each hip. My shape already looks significantly better than yesterday, but I will probably wait a few days to post pics until my shape settles in at least a little more. I kind of hope the swelling doesn't go down too much in my hips and butt, I really like the shape and size it is right now!

Pics, day 1, right after surgery

Here are some before and after pics. I do like how flat my stomach is, and i think the lipo on my lower back looks good. But, I'm hoping my waist gets smaller (i assume theres still some swelling) so my waist -> hips transition looks a little sexier. i did tell dr. Hughes i want a natural transformation, not a dramatic transformation, and i think once my butt starts to look more normal ill definitely have that!! My pre surgery measurements were 34-27 (or sometimes 28!)-36, and I would love for them to read 34-24-36 (or 37 or whatever it ends up being with the larger butt (: ) Basically, I'm pretty happy so far because my stomach is flat and that was my top priority, but I hope the swelling goes down enough that my upper body looks tighter and my waist gets tinier, and I'm waiting for my butt to look more normal because right now its kind of a weird shape and is sitting kinda high lol. But I know thats just because its too soon to really judge the shape just yet.

Right after surgery

Just wanted to add, I don't feel that swollen (as in no swelling on my fingers or face, which I remember some girls mentioning). He added 960 ccs to each side, and thats including the hips. My butt looks much larger than I want it right now, so I'm just hoping it goes down!

Overall rating

My experience with Dr. Hughes was great. I was super nervous because I had never had plastic surgery before, and the process was surprisingly easy, pretty painless, and I am definitely satisfied with my results. I am 27 years old. 125 pounds before and after surgery. RESULTS: Dr. Hughes will give you exactly what you want. I told him I wanted aggressive lipo, and to just add enough fat to improve the shape of my hips and my butt, while keeping it as natural looking as possible. He gave me exactly that. My guy friends noticed, and complimented me on having a sexier shape, but nobody ever suspected I had surgery. Everyone just assumes I'm gaining weight in all the right places! So if you want a very natural looking transformation, Dr. Hughes can and will give you that. A couple weeks after the surgery, I started to feel the booty greed and wished I had asked for more fat transfer to my hips and butt, but after talking to my family, I think I made the right decision by going for a natural look (: So think hard about exactly what you want, and Dr. Hughes will give it to you. That being said, Dr. Hughes was also very realistic about what results I could expect - I wanted aggressive lipo on my upper back and upper arms, and he was honest with me about the fact that those areas tend to show less improvement than stomach and side. Overall I'm super happy - I love being able to wear bodycon dresses and crop tops and know that I look good. I'm also able to more or less eat how I want and not have to worry about getting a belly anymore :D RECOVERY: The recovery was soooo easy. I woke up in no pain. I took pain pills for the first 3 days, and then no longer needed them. The second day I needed to walk a half mile to pick up band aids and I was able to do that, no problem. Dr. Hughes made tiny, tiny incisions, in very discreet places - armpits, belly button, thigh crease, etc. The incisions all healed completely within 2.5 weeks, and the bruising resolved within 2.5 weeks as well. ACCESSIBILITY: One of the best things about Dr. Hughes is that he is very responsive to emails. This is really important, because the results of your surgery are heavily dependent on how you take care of yourself for the first 4-6 weeks after surgery. So, it's nice to be able to email Dr. Hughes with questions RE the recovery process and know that he will get back to you ASAP. PRICE: He is definitely expensive. But, plastic surgery is not the time to be trying to save money! I think it was worth it.
