I lost a lot of confidence after having silicone...

I lost a lot of confidence after having silicone injection removal. I was so happy to have the toxic substance removed from my body and avoid further complications, but it inevitably left me with a less than desirable physical outcome. The doctor who removed the silicone did the best he could to make it look as normal as possible, but I wasn't 100% happy. On top of having my booty cut up and my hard earned fat removed along with the silicone that was dispersed throughout, I also just really let myself go and gained weight. I knew that workout alone would not drastically improve my situation.
Around 6 months after silicone injection removal surgeries, I began searching for doctors. As much as I liked the doctor who performed the doctor, he is based primarily out of NY and I knew that this time I needed a local doctor who could give me the proper attention and follow up. I had been eyeing Dr. Hughes since before my removal surgery. Not only did I like his work, but I also liked that he took on difficult cases like mine and that he was accessible. I emailed with him back and forth and after getting my funds together and family on board, I decided to proceed. I paid my deposit at the end of February, met with Dr. Hughes at the end of March and had my surgery mid April.
I probably have less to say about the actual surgery than my thought and concerns beforehand. The process itself was not as difficult as I anticipated, though I do have a fairly high pain tolerance. I went in for surgery at 6am on Friday morning and was back home by 11am I believe. I arrived on time, filled out some paperwork and met with some of the staff, who were all great and made me feel so comfortable. The facility itself is nice and clean. I liked that it wasn't in the middle of Beverly Hills with the typical Beverly Hills streetwalkers and added luxury fee for the location. I also liked that Dr. Hughes is not a typical Beverly Hills surgeon trying to sell you beauty. He's clearly caring but in a tough kinda way. He set realistic expectations and didn't over promise. But he was still confident. So anyway, the last thing I remember was laying on the operating table and then being helped to my car after. The nurse gave my husband instructions for my medications and I was on my way. I remember shivering like crazy and texting a few people that I was in so much pain, though I'm not sure if I actually was or I just thought that's what I was supposed to say. I was pretty sore, but I never took the pain medication regularly. I was off it completely by the third day. It wasn't necessary and gave me weird dreams. I work from home luckily and only took the Friday through Tuesday off, but contemplated working on Tuesday because I felt ok to. The most difficult part of the recovery is just staying off my butt and not being able to tend to all my mommy duties.
So here I am, four weeks post op, and I am can say I am happy with my results. Looking at my before and after photos is crazy. I've came a long way and am very thankful to Dr. Hughes for his help. Though I still have some imperfections due to my previous surgery, such as my scar which I plan to have revised in a few months, I look way better. I can't wait to workout again and optimize my results. I'm not going to include my before pictures because I'm not ready to do that, but I'm uploading my afters - for now.
