Venting.

Going into surgery I have strongly expressed to get the dents on my (butt) sides fill in. Immediately after surgery it was obvious that the dent on my right side is slightly noticeable as if it wasn't filled in enough. I have been monitoring this area in case it might be the swelling from my hips that created this appearance . I'm coming on my 4th month of post surgery and the dent is still there. My right hip is also curvier than my left which is disappointing. If by the "6th month" I don't see a difference I plan on contacted Dr. Hughes. This has always bothered me. I just figured I should let the recovery process take place before jumping the gun. I'm really hoping by January my body will be at a different stage than it has been in the last 4 months.

The burn is real!

Time is flying like the dust in the wind. Today marks 12 weeks since surgery. In 7 days it will be 3 months. I recently started sleeping on my sides for the first time on Oct. 13th and slowly easing into sitting. My butt is at '41 give or take. I am still swollen in my mid section area. My hips have soften up to 90%. What I am currently experiencing is an intense burning sensation on my lower back and hips as the tissues are repairing itself. This "burning sensation" can be from mild to intense. Some nights i have to sleep on my stomach to take the pressure off the affected areas... As of now i am still not sure if this procedure is worth it. I still have my days where i feel i made the wrong decision. Only time can tell. Toodles!

Great doctor. He really does make time for his patience and potential patience as stated on the website. He answered all my questions and concerns preop/post-op. Great operating team.
