It's Been Ages: I Appologize

So, I wanted to wait for till the 6 moth mark to update on my results. Everything I've read online says that 6 months is the point at which you will see the full results.

I've decided that I've been away too long so now I'll give a short update.

The butt is looking nice and round. I didn't start sitting on it fully until three months and even then I only did sit for less than thirty minutes. I also started sleeping on my sides at three months. I kind of wish I had waited till four months, though. I've noticed that my right hip, which is the side that I sleep on the most, is a bit smaller than my left. Sigh. Oh well.

Also, I may have had the compression garment up too high around my butt. I say this because I've noticed that my lower butt cheeks have some irregularities in them. Ladies, make sure that as you garment gets looser after the swelling reduces that you tighten it up. Don't just keep wearing it at the first set of hooks. If your garment seems loose or like you need it to be tighter then tighten it up! And make sure your butt cheeks are positioned correctly in your garment. I think my garment made marks in my butt which caused the irregularities. They're not that bad compared to what I had before. I may or may not go back to get these spots filled in in the future but for now, it doesn't bug me much.

I don't think I have swelling anymore and the nerve issues I had/have became significantly less at 3 1/2 months. It may be sooner or later for the rest of you out there. I still have instances where I touch my sides and I feel strange needle sensations. But if I don't touch my sides or stomach at all, I forget that I even have/had this issue.

So, the BBL is good so far. I still have a bit of a flat look towards the middle of my butt and I'm hoping this improves with time. Again, it's not a big deal. I get compliments all of time from girls at work and stares from guys. lol

As for the lipo, it worked out great on my flanks and back but my stomach, which is the fattest part of my body, is still fat, in my opinion. I don't mind it much, though. A lot of the patients I've seen on here had some flab but nothing like the basketball gut I'm carrying around. Therefore, I guess I can't expect such a huge difference. I'm going to try out coolsculpting next to get rid of the rest of this abdominal fat. It kind of sucks to have to pay again for this area to get treated but them's the breaks, I guess. I feel that my body might be the type that needs multiple lipo treatments. This is something to consider if you have a huge stomach like mine. Also, coolsculpting might be the way to go, since doing cardio/exercise may cause me to lose my precious booty! lol

post op: day 18

Lol sorry I keep getting ?the days mixed up. Had sx on ?the 31 of January so I'm actually 18 days post op.

So last night I tried out the epi foam. It took some maneuvering to get it into my faja but it did fit in the end.

The epi foam has a sticky backing to it that you put against your body. I've noticed that sometimes my CG will crease at my sides and back a little. Regardless of how tight it is somehow it still manages to get creasing! And sometimes the creases show up on my skin. This epi foam keeps that from happening.

There is an even distribution of pressure on my sides and back. I was able to wear my CG for longer than I have previously because the foam made things more comfortable. At least, that is what I think. I didn't feel so achy in my sides like i usually do after i take it off. I feel like the foam helped support me.

Once I took ?the epi foam off, I was pleased to see no creasing at all in my skin. Things looked and felt pretty smooth. So far, I like epi foam. Im glad i bought it.

However, i only bought three sheets for 44 dollars and some change. It is too early to tell but i may need to buy more if the adhesive backing wears off. Im not sure how important that part is. But i know that having the foam stuck onto my body made putting the CG over it much easier. I cant imagine trying to put on my garment and holding the foams up at the same time!

I would also recommend putting this foam on right after showering. Make sure you dont have any lotions or oil on your skin cuz that causes the adhesive to not stick to your body well.

post op day 16: had a massage this past Friday

Yes, it's been a while since I last updated. I just didn't feel up to it lately and I don't think anyone's really reading these. However, I said that I would try to post updates until I'm a year post open. So here we go.

I went to go see ?the head nurse Olga for a follow up visit. I was given ?the green light to start wearing a faja/girdle as my second stage compression garment. Boy, let me tell you, that thing is tight! And when I say tight I mean so tight not even a mouse's fart could escape that thing!

I was glad that I took her advice and bought ?the faja before them appointment. This thing was so tight I had to have her help me put it on. First, I had to lay down (poor booty) to get them bottom hooks done, then I had to stand up and have her help me get it hooked up over my stomach. Lol she's such a sport, that Olga.

?the next day I came in for ?the complimentary massage. All you have to do is call ?the Boris cosmetic med spa or have ?the main office transfer you. Then you have to let then know you want to schedule a post open massage. Let them know you just had surgery with them. They'll most likely ask you if you're a patient of theirs, though, they asked me.

Everyone there was very professional. I arrived to my appointment in time but ended up waiting an extra 30 minutes even though it wasn't that busy.

?the girl at ?the front desk never left me hanging and wondering when I would be seen. Every so often she would reassure me that I would be seen soon.

Once it was my turn, I was greeted by Caroline, ?the masseuse. I mentioned to her that this was my first massage ever and that I didn't know what I was doing. She instructed me on how to lie on ?the table properly (earlier she asked what procedure I'd had done, which I think is necessary for her to do her job well).

She made sure I was comfortable with my knees up which relieved pressure from my (*in a pirate voice: "precious booty Arg!")

She also apologized on advance that my first ever massage was going to be painful. Thanks for the warning. Lol and she was right.

The pain I have felt in my sides all week was increased ten-fold once she got to work. I also had some pain in my abdomen. I think that the pain was from scar tissue starting to develop. I just gritted my teeth to try and bear thru that necessary pain.

Caroline was so nice and checked on me again and again the whole time. She told me to just breathe when she hit the rough spots. Apparently, holding ones breath is not the best idea. Lol

It wasn't all bad, though. My butt had no pain when being massaged. Except for one small spot that I already knew was hard and painful to touch. ?the massage was very relaxing and felt much longer than 30 minutes. Can't wait for round two!
