Thigh gap after cryolipolysis - before there was a flap of tissue
I bought cryolipolysis for my stomach but didn't have enough tissue for their machine to grab and I did my inner thighs instead. I woke up this morning and my thighs can't touch, whereas before there was a flap of tissue that rubbed lightly, so I guess it worked.
Generic cryo
Went to a knockoff salon for stomach but didn’t have enough pinchable fat for their machine, so I had to settle for inner thighs instead. I found so few reports of PAH from generic machines because the vacuum is weaker than with the original coolsculpt—for instance the redness went away within about 30 minutes. It was comfortable despite the fact I absolutely hate cold. The reading got down to -5 and the thigh felt like a nice icy popsicle once she popped the massaging applicator off 20 minutes later and I didn’t have any skin damage and no real discomfort. I felt my provider knew what she was doing and had enough experience to do it safely and based on studies I've read low temperatures are effective without needing a crazy intense vacuum. I’ll try to remember to post updated pics in 4 weeks or so.
Cryolipolysis
I did research and was happy to try a generic because it's less intense (the vacuum marks went away within about 30 minutes) so I felt the risk of PAH was lower based on my reading. I wanted to do stomach but the owner said my stomach didn't have enough for the machine to grab, so I did my inner thighs. It was like $300 for both thighs and the "exam." It was more comfortable than I expected, but it definitely was much colder to the touch when it was removed than I sensed, it was like -5 degrees. I'll let you know in a couple months if the little bulge goes away. I would have been more into doing my stomach but I'll keep researching options.
