35 Y/o. 3 Pregnancies, 1 C-section . Lots of Loose Skin. - Crowley, LA

On 10/27/14 I had an abdominoplasty with hysterectomy performed by Dr. John Gonzales with Acadia's Women Health, located in Crowley, LA. Initially I was hesitant to have the procedure performed there as this is a very rural area and small hospital. However, after visiting with the doctor and his staff I felt completely at ease. I went into surgery around 7am and returned to my room around noon. Following surgery, I had very minimal discomfort which was mostly on the left side of my abdomen. I had two drains in the pubic area which I absolutely hated. I was discharged the following evening and given Lortab for pain control. The first few days were the worst but my pain was well controlled. I was able to walk a little but I was completely bent over. I saw the doctor 3 days after surgery for labia swelling which he ensured me was normal. The drains put out about 100cc total the first 4 or 5 days and gradually subsided. I believe they were removed at day 8. I've seen the doctor nearly weekly for 4 weeks. He and his staff were very attentive and answered and addressed all my questions and concerns. At this point I remain swollen and can see only minimal results. I have a couple spit stitches which my doc says will resolve on their own.
