Botched my Nose Surgery

$10,001

Broke my nose years ago, had Patt perform septo-rhino on 12/2021, He did a horrible job cosmetically, and even worse functionally. At 3 month appt he offers to use fillers without me even mentioning it because he knows he did a bad job, then at 12 month appt he acts like he did such a wonderful job after I tell him I’m not pleased and want revision. He ends up offering to do revision for cosmetic portion only in his clinic for half the price I paid initially. He also kept pushing for me to get more filler Instead of revision even though I also told him my breathing did not improve one bit. he clearly isn’t a confident surgeon or skilled at this practice, would’ve preferred him tell me he can’t perform the surgery correctly instead of taking my money and doing nonsense work.

Would I Be Justified in Asking for a Free Revision Surgery

Broke nose 8 years ago, went to get it fixed In 2021, I have a 13 month update of the surgery. Seems like the doctor did little to nothing to fix cosmetic and functionality. Doctor suggested I use fillers at 8 month appointment, also he stated “there was too much bone loss” but at my last appointment which was 13 months post op, in the doctors notes he stated that the results were great, even after I told him that I wasn’t pleased with neither portion of the surgery. I feel like the surgery looks incomplete, lack of bone structure, very depressed dorsum, depressed left side, still noticeably crooked, plus I still can’t breathe properly. He states he performed osteomies in the doctors notes, but it doesn’t seem like the bone was broken at all. Even at my 3 month appointment , when I inquired about the approach he took, he stated he did not want to break the bone because he wanted to keep a masculine structure the fits my face. The. He said he “pushed the right side in, and lifted the left side. I know my case was severe but I feel like he should have rebuilt the left side of nose with grafts, instead it seems like a lousy job Was done. Seems to me that all of his focus was on the lower third of the nose. Other than that. I don’t really see a difference cosmetically or functionally. Would I be justified in asking for free revision?

ORIGINAL POST

Crooked Nose Rhinoplasty Botched?

Had a septorhinoplasty performed for a severely crooked nose that was a result of being punched in the face as a teen 7 years ago. My nose was pushed Inwards and off to the side, the bridge also had a palpable break and was c shaped. I am two months post op and still have tip swelling. I told the surgeon I just want to improve my deviated septum for functional issues and straighten the bridge. I feel my surgeon could have done better, it seems that not much was done to actually straighten the bridge, after two months of healing but since my injury was very bad I Want to have opinions on the procedure and want to know could it have been performed better? My initial thoughts were that the bridge would be broken and placed back into its original midline. I spoke with him and he said “he pushed in the nose from one side and raised the other side.” He also stated that breaking the nose and repositioning it would not have been possible, and he also said that I had a very strong face and that affected the approach that he took. Pics are attached.

Ethnic groups with thick skin nose can, sometimes, get even bigger after surgery. It’s op the sone side effects that doctors tell their patients, this has nothing to do with the doctors technique, it’s just how thick skin responds. However, I will say that since you are only two months out it’s still too early. Just make sure to followed your doctors directions and please sleep on your back, lol. If you are still concerned, contact your doctor, with pictures of your concerns. I hope this help and wish you the best in recovery:)
It’s one of the *….I tried to edit this but it wouldn’t let me…
Oh, I forgot to mention that the nose tip often takes the longest for the swelling to go down. That’s why doctor say it takes up to a year to see your final results.
