I was supposed to be getting Botox for the first time when I was in Miami for a breast augmentation. The doctor called out so I was kind of bummed. I decided to look for a doctor in my area of Providence, RI. I sent inquiries to a few places and the first place to respond had an opening for a consultation on Tuesday 8/19 and said I could get the injections that same day. I took the appointment because I've wanted Botox forever! I'm 31 but I've have static lines in my forehead and 11's since I was a teenager. Other people think I'm crazy but I can see them and it's always bothered me. The procedure cost me $500. That was double the price from Miami but oh well! I was talked into Dysport instead. That was what the girls in the office use and my doctor and they all looked great. Supposedly it's more bang for your buck but I've never had either so I have no idea. The price was the same regardless but you get more Dysport cc's for the price, it kicks in quicker, and it lasts longer...so I said let's do it! It was painless and I looked fine afterwards. My doctor told me that she sees results in 12 hours and I could expect to see results in a day or so. I know Botox takes about a week so I was excited. A few days went by and I saw nothing!!!! I started researching and was worried because my lines were static, meaning there when my face is relaxed. I saw some improvement in my forehead but not in the 11's (which was my main concern!). I thought maybe I really needed filler. Nope...at about day 4 everything was great and it keeps getting better. I did experience headache and some dizziness around day 4 as well but idk if it was related. Remember, I also just had surgery, though my recovery was a piece of cake. I have my next appointment a couple days before Xmas! I definetly recommend Dysport but make sure you go to a trained certified doctor! I also have more arch to my brows but I like it. I think that is why you need a certified doctor because if it was done wrong I think a person could end up looking a little crazy...
