Each week it gets better and better. I've noticed my face is slimming out due to reduced swelling. I'm very happy to report I have had no problems healing wise but I do still have numbness and some tightness below my chin on my upper neck region. I've read that this just takes time for the nerves to regenerate. Looking forward to the next couple of months.

I still have some hardness and swelling under my chin but I'm hoping that goes down with time!

I laid one finger under my chin and gently push up on the hard spots several times a day and the hardness eventually went away.

You are a beautiful woman, especially your eyes. You look great and I am sure your husband will come around when he realizes how this makes you feel good about yourself. I have a soft lump under my chin that started as a hard lump (9 wks out), I gently massage it several times a day, seems to be stubborn and softer now but still a lump. It will resolve over time.

Thanks for your kind words. It's been 5 weeks out and while I'm feeling and looking great, the hubs is still frigid. I have an appointment in two days for my first recheck since post op stitch removal. I'm anxious to hear what the Dr. has to say!

Sleeping prone and able to lay on my side without irritating my ears, finally! They are still a bit sensitive but I'm making strides every day. The tightness has diminished dramatically and I have more range of motion in my neck. I still have hardness under my chin, but I'm not expecting that to go away for a couple months. I got positive feedback from my daughters over Christmas but my husband has been giving me the silent treatment. He was against the surgery, said he didn't believe in PS, but I wasn't doing it for him. He's 9 yrs my junior. He'll get over it eventually, but I'm sad I don't have his support.

If there is one thing I've learned it's PREPARATION. Support, reasonable expectations, patience and time are all important too! I am loving everything so far, just colored my hair today, looking forward to the new year!

:-( I am sad for you when I hear your husband is not speaking to you. My husband is s few years younger than myself as well and I did notice the difference in our skin once i turned 50. I am booked for my long incision face lift in March.
