How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

2 months post op

Each week it gets better and better. I've noticed my face is slimming out due to reduced swelling. I'm very happy to report I have had no problems healing wise but I do still have numbness and some tightness below my chin on my upper neck region. I've read that this just takes time for the nerves to regenerate. Looking forward to the next couple of months.

Glamour Shot

I still have some hardness and swelling under my chin but I'm hoping that goes down with time!

4 weeks post op. Next check up with PS is January 4th.

Sleeping prone and able to lay on my side without irritating my ears, finally! They are still a bit sensitive but I'm making strides every day. The tightness has diminished dramatically and I have more range of motion in my neck. I still have hardness under my chin, but I'm not expecting that to go away for a couple months. I got positive feedback from my daughters over Christmas but my husband has been giving me the silent treatment. He was against the surgery, said he didn't believe in PS, but I wasn't doing it for him. He's 9 yrs my junior. He'll get over it eventually, but I'm sad I don't have his support.

Researched my doctor and discovered extensive background with fellowship in cranio-facial reconstruction. Consult answered all my questions and concerns. I can't stress enough that it is paramount to have total trust in your physician and his support staff/facilities. Third or fourth day out you may slip into a bit of a depression and question your healing process, this is the time you put your big girl pants on and remember TRUST YOUR DOCTOR and relax and let your own healing journey play out. Don't go into surgery with unrealistic deadlines for healing. I gave myself a full month of no work or social engagements. More on that later.
