I would like to share my story/journey of my mini tummy tuck and 900ml of fat removal with the Laderma clinic in Prague. I would like to say a 'special' thank you to Suzzane Cerna my Surgeon :-* And the nurses who work so tirelessly to make the clinics patients comfortable :-F . I had been an athlete in my younger days (I am now 48years old) and had always looked after my body, with which I was very proud of. But after having my four children ranging from 24years to 10years old,and especially after my third child, who was a mighty 9lb,I found that even after trillions of sit ups,I could not regain the flat tummy I had before. Obviously age and hormones had intervened and I was struggling. ||:| . In 2012 I went to Belgium and had some liposuction, which yes,did remove the excess fat and looked quite good for a while, but I still, after trillions of sit ups,had a belly which remained a constant reminder of my pregnancies(love you my babies {H} )..It was then that I decided to start my search for a reputable surgeon. I emailed several clinics in The Czech Republic/Poland and even the UK,but the UK was just far too expensive to even consider. I do believe now, that there are some marvelous surgeons out there, you just have to do your home work and google, google, google..Even using the translator to read comments/feedback etc. I had read some horror stories of woman/men who had had surgery in both the UK and abroad and I didn't want to elevate the risks. I was advised by one particular clinic, that I would never achieve a flat stomach through sit ups,as my pregnancies had somewhat damaged the rectus muscles, but since then, I have learned that I had actually got good stomach muscles and that my work outs and zillions of sit ups had worked to a certain degree (Dr Cerna told me this, when I met her in Prague)..But I still needed some help,so she suggested a mini tuck with the fat removal. She even deducted some of the money from the original quote AND removed a little white bump from my upper eyelid, caused by the scar after upper eyelid surgery(which can happen)She said it bugged her  AND at no extra cost! I had read comments about Dr Cerna on this and other websites, praising her work, but never really contemplated looking up the clinic, until the very end of my search. When I did,I read 'everything' on the website, including her own journey. This made me think that although she was a professional, she was also a 'real' person, just like you and me,but also willing to go that extra and tell us about her self, above and beyond. You can read her own journey on the Laderma website. It was actually this that made my mind up. :newsncoffee: I am back at home now :newsncoffee: . I had my mini tummy tuck and 900ml of fat removed on 14th October 2014,after arriving in Prague on 12th Oct. I left Prague on 21st October. From the moment I arrived and was picked up at the airport by Mr Kovac, I new that I had done the right thing. I don't know what it is :dontknow: ,but I have read it before,It's like a light bulb which switches on and even after the few years of searching,I realized that Dr Cerna was the right surgeon for me. I don't want to sound cheesy, but that's it! It has happened before. The main thing is that we do our research like there is no tomorrow and by doing that, we can mostly eliminate the potential risks. My experience of the last liposuction was not very good, but that's another story. What is done is done. Dr Cerna prides herself on the fact that she gives her clients that personal care, and it works for her! She is an extremely clever woman and a marvelous surgeon, she also paints and you will see her paintings outside of her consulting room,on the walls;my tummy is proof to that, even at this early stage. From the moment of that pick up at the airport by the lovely Mr Kovac, until you are dropped off at the airport by him. Your apartment is in the same building as the consulting rooms(clinic/operating theater is five mins round the corner) and you are seen everyday to talk/hug/cry/get your dressings changed(if you don't turn up;I overslept one day, :nono: you receive a friendly knock at the apartment door, and ushered upstairs to see Dr Cerna)..Where you are welcomed by a warm smile and a hug/kiss on the cheek. She really is like your mum/sister and bestie all rolled into one :)) Not overwhelmingly so,but it's a nice touch and it calms the nerves somewhat. I paid 50 euro a night(about £38) and this is for up to two people,so you are getting a lovely apartment for a massive discount. I did try finding cheaper, but you won't for what you get! Everything is there for your stay, from the hairdryer, down to the cotton buds..A self contained home from home {H} Do you know what,my experience was amazing(sounding cheesy again {H} )my bruising was minimal,my scar is healing great,so far so good, and I am happy :)) I am going to put some before and after pics on,when my swelling(which is going rapidly, maybe I am just lucky :dontknow: )has gone and you can see for yourself. Thanks for reading and good luck in your own journey xxxxx Juliette

Thank you. I am going to post some before and after pics,as soon as I get some time. My dr has some before, but I am going to hunt for some and will post them. I am still swollen, but I have read about the swelling on this site. I have cut out most salts and am eating and drinking lots of water. I am now nearly four weeks post op and will be having lymphatic massage soon. I wanted it earlier, but would have most probably hit the roof if touched on the tummy! T o all you pre tt girls out there, good luck. And remember to research and research! :=)

Still got the tube/mass/scar

Hi

I am now nearly five months post op and I have still got the hard painful mass..Which I now know will have to be surgically removed! Can I say this? But thank you Zuzzane Cerna, for NEGLECTING me!
I cannot find a good surgeon who wants to remove the lump and from a any surgeons professional point of view,it's not 'that' bad. I was told that I had had some serious bleeding which was not taken care of. I just feel so depressed and would like to know how much it would cost to be removed? I am from the UK.

I have had a response. from some docs.. I am left with this bulge which is internal scar tissue. I am getting it removed by Dr O at the end of May but he is charging me £1900 for the privilege, plus £400 for bed and £150 for the scan. Turned out to be a pretty expensive mini tuck! I have found a lawyer who may take my case on for negligence re the surgeon in Prague. She is an absolute [RS bleep]! How are you anyway? Hope the post consult went ok?

Yeah pricey..but at least you are getting it resolved..worth it for your sake. £750 of that will be the anaesthetic? Yeah hospital..£400 per night in shared room..sink & loo, tv. The hospital charge £150 per scan session..I don't think he makes too much, considering the hospital theatre rental & surgical team...even though it sounds pricey. Btw: Parking free round corner...tricky to find hospital in Bornem if market is on in the square as road blocked off. We asked in the local butcher shop and a kind local let us follow him! They are extending the NHS hospital, so it will have a construction site next to it..get picked up outside. It was horrible getting wheel chaired along the rickety footpath the day after op. Get the bed with electrical recline button...manual one is impossible to alter after op. Yeah post op was weird. A bit contradictory. Almost like he got me mixed up with some other patient. Seems everything is ok..he never looks overly impressed, just his demeanour I guess. Photos were interesting..he does like to blatantly show you them..be warned!! But, at least you know what surgery was done! Saw my innards! Yeah...good luck with the legal case. My mum is still trying to sue the NHS for mistreatment of my father. They didn't diagnose his appendicitis efficiently and left him in agony..then did not perform surgery they said. She doesn't want money..just procedures changed and an apology. Brother went a year later..appendicitis...told to go home!!! He insisted on being treated..he was correct..appendectomy finally performed a day later..nothing had improved. But, proving it is very difficult. They "doctored" notes and "lost" some notes..then jumbled the 400 pages up. So far, 3 years of trying to get justice/raise awareness. Your case might be easier. If she is guilty of neglect in aftercare (depends on your particular contract) you could sue for the repair you are having as well as damages. This must have been a tough few months for you. Such a disappointment. At least you are able to get it rectified. For a horrible moment, I thought you had been unsuccessful in finding any doc to do the repair. Keep in touch xx

Crickey...bleeding can cause serious complications..tis' why doc treated me on Boxing day for that clot..to be on the safe side. He has only had 2 cases in many years..typically, I was one. At least you are having it done by a decent surgeon now x

I am so sorry and hope you have finally found a PS happy to do the revision. I found the most amazing PS surgeon in Budapest who did my revision surgery because I too was neglected by Dr Cerna. I highly recommend Dr Greg Pataki. He has performed two revision surgeries to rectify the damage she caused and it could have been avoided if she had just listened to me. I lived in Prague and went back approximately three times but just gave up. It seems she is lovely when things are right but her personality changes if you question her about complications.

This surgeon is NOT who she portrays to be..She has left my body deformed and refuses to acknowledge the fact that I needed post op care..She is very cuddly and warm, but under all this persona,is not the warm human being she makes out. I had a simple seroma, which she left and it became a hematoma mass, very hard and painful.

I am so sorry to hear this, blooming awful treatment. I don't know why it did not show up in my news feed either... Crikey, she's not registered? What happens now?

What?????? Not registered, how did you find that out?

I too was fooled by her warm and fuzzy persona but even the best of us can be fooled. I too had major complications that required a major procedure to fix her mistake. Plus the pain and suffering I endured even though I went back to her three times in the first year and she said it was nothing.
Let me tell you it was a big SOMETHING!!!! The pain, down time, cost involved was horrendous and I still suffer everyday. Sadly she has our money with a care factor of zero.
Bewared of Laderma Clinic, Dr S Cerna. If you complain its always your fault and she turns nasty. She was in a bad way emotionally due to a break up and talked about becoming a lesbian all the time looking at my breasts. Scary stuff right there!
