WORTH IT$900
Hi! I got my knuckle tattoos 6 years ago, I really love how knuckle tattoos looks in lady hands, but my tattoo typography is too small and has a lot of detail, so you can hardly read whats in there now, and thats why I'm removing them with q-switch laser with one of the best dermatologist on my country, so I can get them again, bigger and more legible typography. Yeah, I know it may sound crazy.
I started this process in June 19, 2012, I have had 4 sessions so far, and I can see a lot of progress, mostly in one hand, they are super faded!
The colors of my tattoos are black, pink, purple and blue, and I have done them 3 times, the first time one hand was pink and the other was purple, the second time I said, oh what the heck, you can hardly see them! and got the outlines in black ink, and the third time I just retouch them and add 2 more tattoos.
My hands said stay calm + a diamond + bow + heart
Im getting removed the stay calm + the diamond. The heart and the bow are staying.

Feeling down
I talked to my doctor, and he told me he won't do the R20 method on me. This is what her assistant told me:
Unfortunately not. In Boston Congress this year they mentioned the method was discarded since it leaves more scars, color decrease is much slower and is also a little more painful.
Dr. Tabush has applied the technique several times and decided not to do more, even before the Congress, since it doesn't gave good results with their patients. So he do not recommend or does it
That's what he just said :(

I have not heard of scarring with the R20, that's the treatment I'm receiving, but the skin does get very dry. I slather on cream, wrap the area in plastic for several hours and then the skin is smooth again. The recovery time between sessions might need to be longer, I'm waiting four months between sessions to help the skin recover. I think if your doctor is hesitant then waiting is wise. I might go back to the conventional one pass each session if my skin doesn't recover. One thing with this process is to be patient and to stay positive. Good Luck! aloha...k

Hi! I'm sooo impatient! that this process has been the longest i have ever waited for something! haha, anyways my Dr. also works with a plastic surgeon, so next wednesday I have an appointment with both doctors to see if I can have a skin surgery (removal + skingrafting) or if I should continue with laser. :)

Hey, so i don't update here as much as i update the tumblr site, but I can still make a short story here. In the end I had 5 laser treatments, and until now I have had 3 white ink sessions. White ink really works if you are planning on covering it. So here is where I am. This Sunday I have another white ink session, and then the real deal comes. My wedding is in less than two months so the clock is ticking on me, bcause i want the new ink for my wedding!

Hi...Your results look good after the 3 white ink sessions, but what exactly is a white ink session?

November 29, 2013
Hi, thanks a lot! They look good, I'm very happy. Basically it's a white ink tattoo. The tattoo artist uses white ink to paint the old tattoos, actually the last session wasn't white, it was like a skin tone ink he made.

Oh ok...yea i have heard about that bf....is it like a regular tattoo artist or one who specializes in dermatology/permanent makeup? I see you are getting another white ink session...and then are you done?..or what is yr plan? Also read that you are getting new letters tattooed over. Sorry for all the questions, I just never saw actual results of white ink treatments.

It's actually a regular tattoo artists, just a good one, who knows how to apply the white ink. If someone who doesn't knows how to do it it will fall off and it will give no results. Actually it was fun, I was supposed to have another white ink session yesterday, and when I arrived my tattoo artist said we had two options, have another white session or go with the final ink!
I had a lot of months to think the words, the font, the colors, everything! so yeah I was ready! So we talked about 1 hour, put on the stencils several times on my fingers to see if I liked them, and yes!
It was complicated, because of the scars, but I’m so happy, they look sooo gooood, you can hardly see the old tattoos.

Yes! I'm happy, now we just have to wait and see how it looks when healed. I really hope this helps a lot of people on making decisions about tattoos and it's removal
