EXACTLY What I Wanted! (Patience Required)
This is the first cosmetic procedure I have ever had done and to say I was nervous would be an understatement. I've always felt my chin was a bit weak and have not been a fan of my side profile for as long as I can remember. After a consultation I was told that my goals could be met with a combination of voluma in my jawline and vollure in my chin.
The injections themselves are not bad at all, but after one side of my face was finished I was very close to blacking out and had to take a break before the second side. I do have panic attacks sometimes so I am not surprised this happened. The pain from the needle was minimal but it was weird to hear/feel it touch my facial bones.
Immediately afterwards I was so insanely impressed with how good my chin/jawline looked. The following days were more difficult though. The filler looked really great the same day but once it started to settle there was numbness/tingling which moved up the sides of my jaw, swelling, light pain (felt more like tightness to me), bruising, and a lot of lumps and bumps. This gave me so much anxiety during the healing process and I had a hard time accepting that I needed time for everything to settle. Meanwhile, no one could tell I had anything done and my face looked great from the outside, it just felt very strange to me. 2 weeks in I was really wondering whether I had made the right decision with my face. Well, after much reassurance and support from my injector and TIME to let the filler settle I am so in love with my chin and jawline. It really defines my face and I have had many people ask me if I've lost weight (not a goal but it's still nice haha).
