I had no top lip.
And when I smiled, it disappeared further and showed alot of gum.

This cost me $ 2500 Australian dollars.

Day ONE:
Memory loss from the anaesthetic, which I was pre warned about.
Sore and slighty bruised feeling but no pain.
Slept all afternoon and night due to the pain relief.

Day TWO:
Very swollen.
Sore and needed a couple of panadol.
No pain.
I look like a duck but I can see the possibilities.
Bit itchy under the stitches tape.
No bleeding.
No complaints.
Eating and drinking soft things quite easily.

Hi there, and welcome! Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Do you have any before and after photos that you'd be willing to add?

I had it done too and they looked very good; however....within few months they dropped. Better than my original ones but not anymore as gorgeous as when just done. So, take it easy and enjoy your new lips.

Ask the Dr. for lip fillers on the bottom of your top lip. It is lifted too much, but the fillers should help.

Day THREE:

I have been using ice when possible.

Still quite swollen. Cheeks are quite swollen too.

No pain.

Just a stretched and swollen feeling.

Getting itchy as I heal.

Nose feels packed with gauze. Not sure if it is or not. Will find out in three days when I get my stitches removed.

So far I'm happy :)

AND...why would your nose be filled with gauze? Did you have a nose surgery too?

Swelling has greatly reduced..
Got the stiches out yesterday.
> my mouth is permanently open,.however..

Not sure if it's due to residual swelling or if it's been stiched "too open".

Dr has offered to "relax" it for free if necessary. ..

I'm very self conscious right now.. because I look quite odd

Hmmmmm....

Time will tell.

Also I need ALOT of constant lip moisturiser... due to my mouth constantly staying open.

Thank you for sharing. Can I ask of you are able to close your mouth at all? This surgery causes a lot of swelling.

I can only close my mouth if I bring the bottom lip up to the top lip..... My top lip is stitched quite high actually...... I think I'll be getting the doctor to relax his stitches... You can see four teetg across the top at all times.. and some gum. Damn.. Swelling was bad.. but reduced in three days pretty much... No pain either.. just sore

Hi Katie, are you goin to take his offer to relax the mouth to make it close a bit more? Did he mention how he will do this? Keep us posted on how you go :)
