Day 5 Update

Hi...well it's happening! I was very red, swollen, sore....but nothing too awful. The itching might've been the most annoying part!
I've had one full shedding over the last two days, and I figured it would be nice to update with some images from the day of the mask being applied and today.
Today all I have on is the Melan Recovery Cream + the tinted SPF that comes in the take home kit. I'm surprised at how bright my skin is, but it is a little red and I have some stubborn spots I will start treating tomorrow night.

Here We Go.....

Just received the Cosmelan peel yesterday around 3pm, washed it off 8 hours later. Skin gradually felt hot throughout the evening, and instead of drying up and falling off, the mask pulled into itself and almost looked like little round balls of clay around my nose/mouth. When I woke up today I felt more swollen and tight, and some pimples have come to the surface, but so far so good! Using Aquaphor around my mouth so I don't crack any thin skin. My nurse told me not to start Cosmelan 2 until 1 week from initial peel, as most people react negatively when they use it within 48 hours of the main peel. I will only be using it once a day (in the evening) when I start it. She said I could use it twice a day if I'm not too sensitive. I know I have a long way to go, but feeling really happy that I finally got around to doing this. I have noticed within the last year some hyper-pigmentation that was adding to the acne scars of my youth and had to do something about it. I've spent so much money on exfoliating toners, serums, retinoids, oral meds, you name it. Also not enough love on here for the way the Melan Recovery cream smells!! Weirdly reminds me of Prada Candy. (;
