Great Results but a Lot of Downtime

This is a great peel with excellent results. I’ve attached my before and after photos one month apart. However, there is a lot of downtime. I aggressively peeled for a month after the in-office peel and was really red. I am now supposed to use the Cosmelan2 2x a day. However, if used that frequently, I will continue to peel so much that I can’t wear make-up. I am going to take a few weeks break so I can enjoy my new skin (have received loads of compliments). I will go back to 2x a day for a month and see how it goes. I still have some stubborn melasma spots I want to reduce further and ensure it doesn’t return. This peel was great to do during lockdown but would not have been possible if I had to go to the office everyday.

I went to an excellent clinic is London, but at a very high price. But they did include a free second facial and some extra, more expensive skincare products. I paid more to ensure really good aftercare in case of burning. They were really amazing especially since I was worried because I was peeling so much and they quickly saw me.

I am not sure if I will do again. It depends on how long the results last. I am committed to using sunblock 50 everyday and never really going back in the direct sun.
