Five days post op

So I am five days post op as of today. So far it's been an uphill battle. With the heatwave we are having here in California it's made recovery a bit difficult. I'm off the pain medications thank goodness. I'm still on my antibiotics. However the pressure is still on my chest. My breasts are still swollen too. I've been using arnica cream on them, I feel like it is not helping as much as I wanted it to. I bought three supper bras at JCPenney and I have to say it's nice not being flat chested anymore. I'm wearing that compression band around my chest, the one the doctor gave me. The band has helped with the swelling, is what I've noticed. It's looking like a slown progress for me so far and I'm kinda sad about that.

Post op day 3

So I'm currently sitting on the couch. So many emotions and feelings going through my head. The Percocets plugged me up and I took stool softeners that helped a big deal! Safe to say I'm not in that much pain to be taking Percocet. Secondly I feel pressure which is not too bad. Doctor placed one of those pressure bands around my chest and I've been using arnica cream for the swelling. I have the ok to shower today. But I am extremely scared. I'll let you all know how that goes.

Surgery day

Got my BA done today at 7am! I remember Laing down and then the anesthesiologist saying "I'm giving you the medication". I said good night and woke up in recovery around 8am. Left the facility at 930. And got home at 1030am. So far so good. Not too much pain just feeling sore. I did throw up. Anesthesia and my body don't mix. Called the RN and she told me to take zofran and then a pain medication 30mins later. Ate soup when I got home by I threw that up. I'm eating crackers now. Wish me luck. Seems like a slow recovery for me so far
