Going tomorrow for a follow up. I’ve been patient. They said some people are ore prone to scar more than others. I don’t see many examples of that on here. Ready to ask for some $ back and demand they fix it.
ORIGINAL POST
Corner Lip Lift Scarring
Got corner lip lift to help eliminate my permanent frown when my smile is neutral. I’m 6 weeks post op. Wasn’t sure my horrible scar was normal. Every time I visit office, they say - it looks beautiful. 6 weeks-post op and I still have a horrible scar. It’s hard, bumpy, red, textured, sensitive. Dr gave me steroid injections yesterday. Very painful. Says I will need more injections, then laser. Online research did not warn me of the possibility of this kind of scaring. I don’t think the Dr expected this either. Warned me about the possible need for laser, but I don’t remember hearing that I would need 2 doses of painful steroid injections. Is this normal? What have I done?

Who was your doctor? Maybe contact one of the specialists like Dr. Mascaro or Dr. Talei for a video consult to get their input. They'll probably be able to give you some guidance!
I second that. Get in with Mascaro ASAP. His consults are booked out like 7 months. I think he is better than Talei.
I really don’t want to pay any more money.
Get your money back. You shouldn't have to pay for this.
Agreed. Get your money back. Also buy some silicon scar sheets. They work wonders!!!
On another note, it would be helpful if you could name the dr. But please don't worry. I'm sure for that kind of lip lift, it's somewhat normal and will eventually fade to nothing. Try the scar sheets though!!
Unfortunately, those scars do not seem normal from others that I have seen who have gotten a corner lift.
