After doing a lot of research on plastic surgeons in my area, I made a few appointments with several well credentialed plastic surgeons . My first appointment was with Dr. Levens and after meeting with him and his staff, I cancelled my appointments with the other doctors because I knew Dr. Levens was the right doctor. He listened to what I had to say and explained everything to me in great detail. He gave me all of my options and he never pressured me. He answered all of my questions in great detail and was very patient, never rushing through our appointments. He even called me the night of surgery to make sure all was ok!!! I was undecided about the type of implant and size I wanted and Dr. Levens, along with his great staff, worked very closely with me to help me pick the right one that would give me the exact result I wanted; natural looking full breasts that weren't spaced too far apart. Two days before surgery, I changed my mind about the type of implant that I wanted (originally chose a textured implant and decided I wanted smooth) I called Dr. Levens office and informed the staff. A very short time later, Dr. Levens called back and said that he anticipated that I may be changing my mind!! He suggested I come to the office to discuss the change. Due to time constraints with work, I was unable to get to his office. He spent a considerable amount of time on the phone with me again discussing the difference between the two types and reassuring me that my decision to change was fine. There is absolutely NOTHING I would have done differently. Dr. Levens is a rare find in today's world and I highly recommend him.

ORIGINAL POST

I've always wanted to have breast augmentation...

I've always wanted to have breast augmentation after having had 3 children in 3 years but circumstances never permitted it. Once my children were all through college, I made up my mind that it was my time. I am 5'5" and weigh 115lbs. My breasts were sagging (I used to describe them as 34 long) and underinflated from breast feeding my children. I felt very self conscious in clothes, bathing suites and at the gym. I went from barely a "B" to a full "D" and couldn't be happier. I chose Mentor silicone, round, smooth, high profile 425 cc's. They look so natural and I feel so much better about myself. There was absolutely no down time. I had them done on a Friday and was back to work on Monday. I never even took a pain pill!! There were no drawbacks whatsoever. I only wish that I had done this earlier but as Dr. Levens says, I still have many years to enjoy them.
