I live out of state, but was willing to travel in order to achieve what I want. I have been researching this procedure for a few years now and I'm excited that I can finally get this done! In my metro area, Dr. Jimerson is everyone's top pick. Although I've liked a few girls that I've seen by him, I knew he wasn't the right one for me because has a tendency to give women a big ol' "shelf" and most of them are left with the same exact sequence of scars on their butts and backs. I was looking for more natural curves without the "bullet wounds". Lol. I consulted with a few other surgeons as well, but chose not to go with them for several different reasons. I came across Dr. Azurin and did my research. I've put my faith in him and his wonderful assistant Lynne and I'm finally going in the morning for the procedure. I went and met them in person today and we went over the details of my surgery. He explained what he's gonna do, what he won't do, and why. I respected his honesty. I can't wait to see how I turn out!!!!! :)
I've already been warned that the recovery is pretty painful, but this is a sacrifice I'm willing to make if it will boost my confidence. My body isn't the best, but I've just always threw on a good bra, started sucking my stomach in once it got a lil bigger, and dressed fashionably in clothes that hid my true shape. #teamnospongebob. I'm ready to throw on a bodycon dress! I may be a little out of it tomorrow so I'll update you ladies as soon as I can, pics and all. I've got a rough morning ahead of me so goodnight ladies!

June 11, 2013
I wasn't chubby before. I just had a body that wasn't shaped the best- all boobs and that was about it. Lol. I used to be skinny with big boobs, but as I got older this ugly shape began to develop and I had to get rid of it (I'm a beer drinker so that doesn't help much). I figured if I was gonna have a lil "woman weight" on me it needed to be proportioned right

MY BBL IS COMPLETE!!!

ImprovedBody2013
Let's start with the morning of my surgery. I get there with a serious case of butterflies and I was greeted by a sweet nurse. She took a pee sample and then took me to a room to change into a thong and bra. I waited for quite a while then Dr. Azurin came to the room with the nurse to take my before pictures and to mark me. He made me feel comfortable and I was ready even though I was quite nervous. They took me to the room where the surgery was performed and the anesthesiologist hooked me up to the IVs. I don't remember much after that besides waking up out of it in a wheel chair complaining that I had to get out of the wheel chair. Lol. I was so high but I felt the butt pain! I walked out like Frankenstein- completely out of it! Lol. I can laugh about it now, but it wasn't funny then. I have a family member here with me to help me along this journey and they were freaked out. I remember some discomfort, crashing as soon as I got back to my hotel room, and having a shaky night of sleep.

Day 2 and 3 was a bit worst than day 1. The anesthesia was gone away and I was depending on my prescribed meds to ease my pain. Laying on my stomach was so hard. It's not like any other time you lay on your stomach. You have to deal with the fact that your butt and back hurt on top of the fact that your neck hurts. You also have to deal with the compression of the white wrap and Styrofoam padding that you HAVE to wear on top of your post surgery garment. You can't move like normal because walking, bending, kneeling, and moving as swiftly as your norm is null and void. You almost have to learn how to do everything again. My family has been great with helping me take my meds on time, helping me walk, getting me in and out of bed, getting my meals, etc. You HAVE to practice walking a lot and ice your swollen areas. Getting comfortable is soooo hard, but you'll eventually be okay. Remember the pain is just a small temporary sacrifice you have to make to get the body you've always wanted.

By day 4 you need to poop. I had no problem peeing, but since I couldn't poop on my own my family had to insert a suppository in me to make me go. Once I broke the seal, I had no further problems pooping. I'm still taking my meds, but not to the max. My worst pain, at first, was my butt. My back pain and the irritation of me not being able to walk or sit has definitely bypassed my butt pain. Don't get me wrong, it still feels like my butt is pregnant and the baby is trying to bust out, but the other pain takes away from it.

It is now day 6 and I took my first shower today. I had been washing up at the sink, but was too scared of washing any dirt into any slightly open incisions or something to take a shower just yet. I'm sure that everything is sealed now so I felt super comfortable about taking everything off and showering. I FEEL SO GREAT. It felt a little weird having my garment and padding off but it was pretty awesome seeing my new shape completely naked. I think I look pretty good now and I still have lots of swelling that still needs to go down. My stomach is flat, my sides curve inward, I have a butt now, and my back fat is gone from my rolls but the lines are still there where the rolls were. I'll have to let time take it's course on those lines going away in combination with me working out in 5 weeks to work on it. I don't have any saggy or folding skin. My skin is just sensitive right now (to be expected) in my midsection area- back and stomach. I have little to no bruising. I think me eating lots of pineapple and taking Arnica pills helped with that.

Dr Azurin has done a very good job. I go see him for my last office visit tomorrow before I fly out back home later this week. His staff has been very helpful, caring, sweet, and informative. I'll update you ladies soon. Bye for now :)

OMG! Great update! You made me feel comfortable with my decision to go with Dr. Azurin in a few months! You look fantastic! Wishing you a speedy recovery...
June 10, 2013
Yeah he's awesome. I had to share my experience so that others could feel comfortable with him and could see more proof of his work. I know my waist is gonna continue to shrink and my butt is gonna continue to take on it's final shape as well. Right now my butt is still hard, but my bbl sister came to see me since I've been here and her butt is big, round, and jiggly. She went to him a few months ago so I'll be good :)

Did he lipo your abdomen too?
June 11, 2013
Conservative lipo. He wasn't going to at first. As you know, he's not one to lipo from the abdomen unless he's doing a tummy tuck. Once he saw my stomach and my skin he decided that he could do a little conservative lipo. My stomach wasn't THAT big so skin creasing and folding wasn't gonna be an issue.
June 10, 2013
What all did you have lipo on?
June 11, 2013
Aggressive lipo from my upper, middle, lower back, and my sides. Conservative (very little) lipo from my stomach.

Still in disbelief!

ImprovedBody2013
This is the end of day 8 and I feel so much better. I'm a lil annoyed that I'm still walking like a bowlegged pregnant woman. I can't really put on pants, shoes, and panties without help or a serious struggle on my own, but I keep reminding myself that it's temporary. This time last week I couldn't walk , get in and out of bed, or get dressed on my own so I have definitely improved and will continue to do so. I'm going through an itchy stage on my back. I hate being itchy, especially in places that are hard to reach. That was something else to be expected so I'm not really tripping too much about it. I've temporarily replaced my Styrofoam piece from the bottom of my back and have a "homemade" ice pack there wrapped in it's place because like I said before, icing is important too. I made my little ice pack with a few ice cubes and wintergreen alcohol in a hefty storage bag. It comes out of the freezer super cold and slushy which makes it easier to tolerate because it takes on the shape of your body unlike a regular ice pack. I recommend doing that or buying a pack of frozen peas*

Dr. Azurin changed my life! I've been off and on crying tears of joy all day. I can't wait to get back home, by new clothes, and to take pictures in them. It amazes me that I'm still swollen and still have shrinking to do when I'm so little already. I went for my last visit this morning, and was so happy when I looked at my whole naked body in their full length mirror. I got teary eyed saying bye to Lynne today because she has been so sweet and such a big help along the way. If I had to do it all over again I would because this temporary pain is and was definitely worth the beautiful new body that I'll have long term :)
