I have had this awful mistake of a tattoo on my chest for over 6 years now. It says amore and yes there is a backstory... one that I am SO over talking about. I decided to take the laser removal route December of 2017. I got my first treatment at la Arte de belleza in Coral Gables FL. I started with PICO sure, which the consultant assured me was the absolute best laser on the market. During the consultation I was told that the chances of me scarring or developing hypo pigmentation would be slim to none. I went ahead with this session because I trusted the consultant. The session felt much worse than the reviews I read online of other peoples experiences. I guess this will be different for everyone, just whatever your pain tolerance is. They did apply a topical numbing agent, I do not feel like it made any difference. Total cost for this session was $200.

It will take many sessions. Be sure to apply a good numbing cream 2 hours prior and cover the thickly applied cream with plastic wrap and tape. It does make a big difference, trust me! I had my dr prescribe a typical lidocaine. Hypo pigmentation is a real possibility but MUCH less noticeable than the tattoo. Each individual session doesn't make lots of progress but when you combine many sessions the results are great.
