Had an INTRAcel treatment done at the Retouch skinclinic in Copenhagen.
NO WORRIES!
I almost didn’t feel a thing, perhaps a few tiny stings near my mouth.
The nurse was so professional and the rumor tells she is one of the best skin care specialist in Denmark. She seems very empathetic and Intelligent.
NUMB
I got a lidocaine based numbing cream on for about 45-60 minutes before (right afterwards I spilled some water trying to drink from a glass :D)
I felt a slight tingle sensation afterwards- like a bit of a sunburn. Next day a tiny bit sore. I used some healing soothing cream the days after. But have done the things I usually do.
UNUSUAL FRECKLES
I had a few small red areas that looked like beautiful freckles. They appeared because I am on different medical blood thinners - I bruise if someone shakes my hand :). I had a slightly tinitiny bleeding at the needle points. But this is highly unusual. No one noticed it and they were totally gone after 2 days.
SWELL - WELL.....?
I didn’t see any swelling, perhaps a tiny bit around my eyes the day after. Not sure, maybe it’s just me looking for it. But I loved that she would go as close as possible under my eyes. The skin here is a bit saggy...
ACNE SCARS
She gave me extra extra stamps over some small old acne scares. Hurray!
PLACEBO OR NOT?
I know this might take a couple of treatments before anything can be seen.
Perhaps it’s placebo - I think my skin feels more smooth and looks better already a week after the treatment. Perhaps it is to early to mark the “yes” - was it worth it?, but I can see a difference already? I know the idea is that the skin will work itself over the next month - half a year.
NO SUN!
I have used the strongest best sunscreen and will continue to use that.
I have very fair Scandinavian skin, so everything is seen a bit more on my skin.
I will update in a few months and try to get some photos from the clinic.
I feel younger already!
