Had Coolsculpting Done Today on my Stomach

I had coolsculpting done today on my upper (1 applicator) and lower (2 applicators) stomach. I am 51 and 125 lbs and 5'4 and exercise and eat healthy, but I've always had a bulge of fat on my stomach so today I took the plunge with Coolsculpting. The dermatology practice I see has been doing Coolsculpting for almost 8 years now so I felt good going in. After reading so many reviews here I was bracing myself for the 2 min massage of my frozen fat to hurt tremendously, but it really didn't hurt at all since the area was still quite numb. The most pain involved (which was only moderate) was after the first 2 minutes until about 10 minutes in when the machine was freezing my fat. There was some pain, although the "cold" sensation wasn't too bad, it was more the cramping, but then by the 10 minute mark I was numb. Once the applicator was removed there was some pain again initially as she was rubbing off the gel, but that only lasted a minute or so and then she moved on to the massage. I will post photos once I have something to post, but other than some overall numbness and tenderness in the treated areas, I feel fine. Fingers crossed this works! I return in 10 weeks to potentially do a 2nd treatment to my stomach and will likley add the flanks if the first round worked. Stay tuned!

7 months later and new areas treated I can say Coolsculpting really works!

I went on to do 1 treatment to my inner and outer thighs, love handles, and retreated my stomach both upper (1 more time) and lower (2 more times). It's been 7 months since the first treatment and it's almost 7 weeks on the last treatment. The results are stunning. I will post final before and afters soon, but Coolsculpting has definitely worked wonders for me. It is subtle, but with a few treatments it has made a huge difference. I now wear bikini's and cropped tops I never dreamed of wearing ever again. I've lost 3 1/2 inches in my waist and this is all coolsculpting. I did nothing different with my diet or exercise and yet have lost a few pounds due to the fat loss. Thrilled!

It's been 9 weeks since the 3rd treatment on my stomach, and 7 1/2 months since my first treatment. It's been more than 4 months since I did my inner and outer thighs. I am VERY happy with the overall results as I lost 3 inches on my waist and 1 1/2 inches around my thighs, and got rid of the fat bulge above my belly button as well. It's the first time in 12 years that I have felt comfortable wearing a bikini and it's be great to not have such a large muffin top when I sit down and to be able to tuck shirts in - something I never did! HOWEVER, there have been 2 small issues. One is after doing my inner thighs, there was an odd fat pocket that really stuck out. I redid just that area (right inner thigh) and in the 8 weeks since, it has reduced a bit, but my inner thighs are a bit uneven and the right has a bit of wavy-ness. The other is on my right stomach to the side of my belly button there is a small area that sticks out more than on the other side. GP said it was cosmetic and likely from coolsculpting but I will talk to my Derm about it to understand if it's dead fat and will go away or what. Neither area is hard or PAH thankfully, and neither will keep me up at night. The results are incredible and I'll take this new body any day over the pre-coolsculpting version. Procedure pain wasn't too bad and recovery pretty easy. Overall, if done by someone really experienced, I give coolsculpting a THUMBS UP.
