1 month in!
Hey all! I'm having excellent results so far! Here is 1 month post! I dont think that this dramatic of a result is typical. I'm convinced the coolsculpting with my healthy lifestyle has finely pusbed my body into a healthier shape!
The tingling and numbness last about 2.5 weeks for me. It was pretty mild and I didnt event need a compression on it. My second session is due July 26. It'll also target flanks. I did the buy 2 session of coolsculpting get a free session of emsculpt which means I'll be adding emsculpt at my July 26 appointment.

Stubborn Flanks! 5ft, 110 Pounds. 23% Body Fat Total.
Let me start by saying that I am a fit person. I eat the right foods, I do fasted cardio in the mornings, and lift weights in the evening. I track my macros
and take supplements. But even all that just doesn't seem to make a dent on my flanks! (Love Handles- if you want the kinder term.)
A year ago, Brilliant Distinctions was doing a one free coolsculpting applicator with a breast augmentation which lined up perfectly since I had just finished booking and paying for an augmentation with Dr.Reiger. I decided to use the applicator (a couple weeks post augmentation surgery) on my lower stomach since my biggest concern at the time was a pouch. 3 months later I saw my before and after and was blown away! If I still had that photo I would post it but I'll see if I can get that again at my next appointment.
Fast forward a year later. New boobs meant overhaul on my body and I wanted to look sexy and athletic. Unfortunately, I just cant get anywhere with the flanks so I finally caved and decided to fork out money for Coolsculpting. It runs about $895ish per applicator and it takes a total of two applicators per session; one on each side. Right now Healing Waters is offering a buy 3 get one free and my nurse told me I could definitely benefit from 2 sessions spaced out 2 months apart. Brilliant Distinctions program is offer a special coupon where I can purchase a coupon valued at $300 for $200 with a max limit of 4 coupons per person (and can only use 4 per transaction). I figured I've been contemplating this for a year and now is the best moment to spend (and save) money.
I went in on Saturday for my first round and go back for the second session July 26th.
I'll say that the lower stomach felt very different from the flanks. The flanks actually used the vacuum suction which help achieve a deeper fat cooling process. I'm super ticklish so I giggled quite a bit when it initially started. There was a little bit of discomfort but that went away quickly. The most pain was right after the process finished (about 30 minutes later) where the area warms back up. All the nerves waken and the discomfort is similar to sticking your bare hands in snow then running it under warm water.
Each side took 30 minutes and I had to sit up for it. Each side had a different sensitivity as well. My right side experienced a longer, deeper pain before it warmed up (about 10 minutes tops) and the left felt more mild and quicker to recover. The massage after also tickled a whole lot, but the nurse told me most people find that it hurts. "Hurt" is a relative term and I found it uncomfortable but bearable.
Have you ever given yourself a hickey on the arm and kept sucking until it hurt? I did that as a kid out of curiosity so it's okay to admit you have too, lol! Well, the post-procedure feels a lot like that right now. Some areas are bruised, and the overall sensation is soreness with some numbness. Since I've had the lower belly done before I expect eventually I'll start to feel the tingling as if a body part woke up from sleep. The last time I wore something like spanx under my clothes and the compression really helped with the tingling.
Bloat is normal for a few weeks post. So dont freak out if your body looks worse rather than improving. It also takes 2-3 months for total fat reduction.
I'm going to out some before and during photos up and once I ha e a moment I'll get the post photos up too!
