Might Work for Some

I went into this procedure optimistic but realistic. The gray bra is before the procedure and the coral bra is just short of 11 weeks after. I was looking for a noninvasive way to remediate my flabby underarms. I lost a lot of weight many years ago, and my arms have always been a trouble spot. I have a lot of muscle, it’s just hidden by fat and probably excess skin. I went to a board certified plastic surgeon for the coolsculpting procedure, but his two nurses are the ones who actually put on the applicators. The doctor came in beforehand to make sure the markings were in the correct locations. Based on my arms, the doc recommended two treatments that I paid for up front. I had my first round May 25th and came back 8 weeks later for round two. I had no change after 8 weeks and I am just shy of three weeks post the second application and I continue to see absolutely no change.
I don’t think it is an error in application and I don’t fault the nurses because they seemed like they knew what they were doing. I think I just was not the appropriate candidate for coolsculpting. I have fat, but also probably a lot of the hanging is skin, which coolsculpting doesn’t remediate. I have seen many people on this site who have had a successful fat reduction, but it just didn’t work for me. I’m not deterring anyone from trying, but if you have considerable underarm fat and pendulous skin, you may not see any changes.
I am in the southwest suburbs of Chicago and it cost me $2100 for two applications including the consultation visit. It’s a bummer I had no results, but I figured it was worth trying. I am now considering a consultation for lipo or a brachioplasty to make my arms appear more aesthetically pleasing.

Sorry didn't work for you. I think for the cost you're better off doing Lipo. Although I think I would recommend for you to do an arm lift. I don't think you would be happy with just Lipo because you would probably still have hanging skin. Good luck!
I think you’re right! I will make a consultation at some point and see what the doc recommends.
I think you need to give it at least three months after your most recent procedure to really evaluate your results
I’ve read that, but I am somewhat skeptical as there has been no change at all since the first round over 2 months ago. I will welcome any changes if they come tho lol
Heya!!! I see subtle change in upper arms i made a comparison grid on top of each other to make sure and it shows. Maybe measure in exact same spot and see? Anyhow I see muscle in upper arms and abs! You are beautiful love! Keep on kicking butt!!!
Maybe there’s a veeeery minimal change lol. Sometimes it’s hard to discern since I look at my body every single day haha. Thank you for your kind words!! :)
How many applicators did they use on each arm?
I believe there’s small and large applicators. I had one large applicator on each arm for 35mins per session. The large applicator sucked all the fat into it and the machine said it was a good seal, so it seemed like a good fit. I don’t think the smaller one would have fit all my arm in it from the looks of it.
Okay, got it, thanks. I do see a difference but for the money, you probably would've been happier with lipo. (Probably same price too.) I've been tempted to try CoolSculpting but I've been nervous about the pain/bruising afterwards. How was the healing process been?
Oops! Sorry about that grammar typo at the end. Let me try again: What was your healing process like?
Very minimal! During, it feels like your fat is being sucked in a vacuum and it gets cold, like if you held an ice pack on way too long, but it only lasts maybe 5 mins and then you can’t really feel anything. After the first one, my skin felt a little sensitive and a little numb for maybe two weeks but the sensation came back. I went about my regular activities the same day I got it, went grocery shopping, went to the gym, etc. The second time, the numbness lasted only about a week. Idk if it’s any different for other body parts, but I wouldn’t even classify the feeling as pain. It was like extremely minimal discomfort, hardly noticeable.
Too much skin. They should have told you are arent a good candidate! You need an arm lift. They can do it under your arm. Good luck!! I hate o see peopke waste money
