CoolTech Fat freezing Nightmare

CoolTech Fat freezing Nightmare

I had CoolTech on my upper and lower stomach on the 21st of June. I’m now on day 12 after the procedure. Like CoolSculpting this is Cryolipolysis technology. I was under the impression that I would have a little swelling and discomfort after the treatment for a few days. Well... I have been is massive pain since day one. The nerves waking up on day 4 were like stabbing daggers into my skin. I was bloated and looked six month pregnant. I finally got a prescription for Lyrica and after three days that stabbing pain has calmed down. On day 12 I am still in lot of discomfort and look four months pregnant. I really wish I had done a lot more research on what could actually happen. I have two young kids and everything has been so hard. I have had to lie down with ice packs to numb the pain. Clothes just touching my skin have had me in agony. This pain is not worth it in my opinion. I am praying that I don’t have any permanent nerve damage.

Hi, I believe you may be suffering from , which is rare but occurs in some cases. It’s when fat cells respond to CoolSculpting by enlarging rather than dying. This condition is called paradoxical adipose hyperplasia (PAH).

A 2014 study reported the incidence of PAH with CoolSculpting is currently thought to be around 0.0051 percent.

Retyping as I hit send before I finished editing my last comment! I believe you may be experiencing pasadoxical adipose hyperplasia (PAH). It’s a rare condition that affects around 0.0051% of patients. Fat cell expand rather than shrinking. I don’t think there is a way to know this before you try cryo, so it could happen any time! I would go to see a doctor if I were you and see if they can help you. I’m sorry you are suffering with pain. I also have had one treatment of cryolypo (Cryoskin 3.0) on my stomach and took the risk. Luckily it seems to be working but I have experienced gas and the need to frequently urinate, which are normal occurrences as the liver rids the body of dead fat cells.
