1 week update

OK, so it’s been a week. Starting to get feeling back but it’s still really weird it’s kind of numb, a lot less sore, it’s just a really strange feeling. I think it’s placebo or just my mind wanting it to be that way, I feel like I can tell a difference but obviously you won’t really be able to tell anything for at least two months. Might switch this to updates every two weeks.

3 days post

Feeling much less tender and swollen today. Still completely numb at the surface. First few days it would hurt a lot of I bumped into things, which due to being numb seemed to happen a lot. Was able to work out and everything, did give myself a bit of a shock going into upwards dog and bumping my stomach but other than if I’m directly pushing on it feels like nothing. Sonya mentions massage was good for swelling and lymphatic drainage so I’ve been using my gua sha in the shower and bath to massage the area. It’s probably placebo but I feel like I can already we a difference. Will update with photos weekly.

Day of cool sculpting

My appointment was at 10am and I was super nervous heading there. The aesthetic nurse Sonya who did my procedure (and my consult) is just very reassuring. It’s hard to know what to expect it’s truly like nothing I’ve ever felt. I definitely see how people find in painful. I have a very high pain tolerance and it was .. uncomfortable. The massage afterwards is the worst part, I definitely know people who would have found that part absolutely excruciating. I found the second side better than the first because I knew what to expect but Sonya said most people find the second side worse. It was pretty sore to the touch afterwards like a radiating pain but nothing that stoped me from going about my day. I have endometriosis so my threshold for pain is extremely high. I was very red and swollen afterwards.
