Where did you go and what post care was given to you? This was either a very aggressive treatment or maybe you used a product that you shouldn’t have too soon? I’m an aesthetician and CMLT that has a lot of experience with coolpeel.

I and the same experience. Painful, very very red and swollen and am now at day six and finally feel comfortable leaving the house. I still have sandpaper skin and brown spots in areas but am hoping for good results.

Do not believe no downtime. My face is very swollen. My eyes are swollen. I'm red as a lobster. It feels like it's burning. I had it done 3/28/23 for 2nd time. No going out like this. Everything says it's like a mild sunburn. This is like a severe sunburn I'm swollen it's uncomfortable and it takes several days to where I can even put make up over top of it and probably a week and a half before this redness goes down.

The longer you stay red, the better. My doctor told me that. It shows that collagen is building. Not being red for a long time would be a disappointment, long term.

Me too! I’m red, swollen, and itchy, although not as severe as the last CO2 laser treatment I had a couple of years ago. Oh, what we do to be beautiful and youthful! I’m not worried, though. I’m sure it will be worth it in the long run.

I'm curious did were you completely off of all other skin care such as retinols before your treatment? I'm a doc considering buying one of these lasers and I am very interested in hearing about your experience and figuring out why you had this reaction which is apparentlly quite rare.

This reaction isn't rare at all. The only way someone wouldn't have this reaction is if they waster their time not going aggressive enough to be irritating to the skin. My skin gets as red as a lobster for days, itches, peels, and is laughably swollen. At about 7 days things start getting more normal.
