7months dr appt July 10, 2013 we saw Dr. Cortes just wanted too check out our stomach. We still have a hard shell like around the inside of our stomach. Cortes give us 2 cortisone shots in the stomach; feel better (been peeing alot). The tightness around the stomach is loose. Feeling so Sexy!!!

Thank you for sharing your journey! I am impressed with your will power to do what you want!!! I or one am apprecative that I can go into this surgery with better knowledge from All the ladies on the site!! Thank you again, especially for letting us know what to expect during the hapealing process!!! This will be all worth it with PRAYER!!! I Put GOD first in anything I do! It took years before I had the confidence, money, time , support , research to get o ths point wow! I am almost there ( first week in April) wish me LUCK!! And God Bless to you and your sister !

29th day we had our 3rd massage, we are feeling better definitely after each massage.
1MONTH we made it!! Our booty is sticking out there (booty is not big as I wanted it), my stomach still look like im 3months preggo, the hardness of our stomach and swelling in our back is leaving slowly. The dr office, have been helpful for our swelling problem!

Hey Girlie omg you are scaring me with the swollen belly :p has it greatly improved since? What was his actual explanation for this and is there a way to prevent it?
You seem happy and optimistic! I hope the rest of your recovery goes smoothly! :)

I will post more pics! I'am not trying to scare you. I just want people too know that people are not telling the true about what too expect after surgery. You have to be a very strong person. We thought after the surgery (bam) we will have a flat stomach. NO, the average person will not. If you donot knw how to do a push-up you will learn. You will start off being a newborn baby and work your way up too walking. I will post a lady link from youtube who had the same similar problems. .

Also Dr.Cortez stated it is normal for swelling. My sister and I were given 5-10 shots of cortisone. Cortez stated we will love him tonight; I must say,that was the love we needed; it was the first time since the surgery I was able too get a good night of sleep. We peed and pass gas nonstop for a week,Also he changed our garments. I believe that was some of the cause; because we were unable to fit some of the garments they provided because we are not petite women.

Wow! U were really swollen which is why I think I really need to start working out because my stomach has a lot of fat around it and I think it will help the results. U stomach definitely looks like mine but I had a baby so it shouldn't look that way. How was Dr Cortez and his response to all this?

really good to see another 504 sista on here...i consider dr williams at first from new orleans then heard reviews but no pic and decided to stay clear away from him..texas or florida i guess is my next choice

Thanks!! What part of New Orleans are u from? I suggest choosing a doctor close too home, just in case u have too go back too the doctor for any side effects. Prepare yourself I would take off at leave 2 weeks; it is not a joke. You will need some help from other people I felt like a baby again. My stomach still have a couple of hard shell parts. But I do feel good and look good!
