He used sutures that NEVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN USED. These sutures are known to cause infection and not dissolve. Almost 2 years later, I am on my 3rd surgery to try to repair and clear the infection. Dr. Cortes was not very interested in finding out what the cause of my infection was. He only rebuilt my belly button 4 or 5 times hoping this would make it better. It never closed and has always drained puss and blood for the entire 2 yrs (almost) Could have been prevented. All of the doctors I have consulted since my surgery said they WILL NOT USE that certain suture for that specific reason. So my question is, why did Cortes ?
