How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.
If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

I've been reading stories and reviews about...
I've been reading stories and reviews about explant surgery on this site for months. Just happened to find it while searching for before and after photos of explant with no replacement, no lift. I cannot tell you all how encouraging all of the reviews I've read have been!
I'll be 50 years old in the spring. Back when I was in my late 20's (big time Victoria's Secret era - constant catalogs arriving in the mail, you know where I'm going with this!) I decided to get just a lift. I was a full B cup but of course wanted them to be higher!! Wish I would have known then that your breasts sit where they were made to sit on your chest!! The lift went well, but for me many years later the lift was just not enough and a bit of a middle-aged sag starts to set in. My dr. who did the lift was wonderful, great experience with him and his team.
Fast forward 10 years and I decided to get implants, instead of another lift, by a different dr. this time. No offense to the first dr., I just lived in a different area now. I went for saline implants, couldn't even tell you what size, who they were made by, etc. Just went on the advice of the dr. Silicone was still a no-no at the time. He promised to make me proportional - I'm almost 5'10" with a thin and lean frame. Whoa!!!!! I ended up looking like those pin up girls on the mud flaps of an 18 wheeler!! The weight of these two softballs on my chest immediately hit me. NOTHING fit. My adorable button-downs and little waist length blazers would not button across my chest. My sporty athletic body was gone. The biking and running was over, replace with wimpy workouts in the gym (hate being inside). Couldn't do upper body work because of the chest muscle movement. And did I mention the feeling of constant water sloshing in my breasts? Ugh. And... the eventual horrible rippling after about 2 years when I bent over.
I became adjusted to my more minimally active lifestyle... just in time for a new relationship!! Of course, the new guy loved them! We got married, had a little girl who is 12 now and we're happy. However, I needed to think about having these things changed out, getting rid of the saline and replacing with silicone. Found another nice new dr. and AGAIN didn't really question what they would be replaced with size-wise. The replacement went well enough, no rippling just the tremendous weight remained. Now, 7 years later after the replacement... I. AM. DONE.
The past six months have brought about some personal and family issues. Sometimes the good thing about that stuff happening is you get stronger, and realize the confidence you really do have and don't need the approval so much. These things must come out of my body!!! My husband is totally supporting my decision, especially since the medical problems with these things have come to light! Absolute exhaustion, constant headaches, joint pain, dizziness, insomnia. I could go on.
I dream of being "light" again. Wearing my cute tank tops, sleeping without a bra, protecting them, not hugging because of the softballs that come between me and the recipient of the hugging!!! Done with the old lady top heavy boob look!!! My explant surgery, with another dr. who has done procedures for many women I know is less than two weeks away!!! Pre op appointment is this Thursday, surgery 11/16/15. Cannot wait to have my tiny boobs back again.
I will post before and after photos soon. Thanks to all of you beautiful ladies out there! Reading all of your wonderful and caring comments makes me feel even more confident. xo
