Slimlipo 5/28

Just got home back from having my slimlipo procedure. Everything went well and the entire staff was so friendly and kind. I arrived at the check in counter a little bit earlier- around 6:30 am. I got checked in at 7am and then went to the back to change into my robe and socks. I had my IV done and later met with Dr. S. (so he could do his purple markings) and later the anesthialogist. All I remember was getting pushed into the hallways to go to the surgical room. I woke up in the recovery room around 11:00ish had some ice chips and then once I was ready (noon time) I wheeled to a private area to rest. My boyfriend came to the room and I had some water and gram crackers. So far no pain at all. I checked out of the hospital and was wheel chaired to the car around 1:30pm. My boyfriend was hungry so we stopped by a restaurant so he can eat. I was surprised that no one can even tell I just had slimlipo. On the way back home I was leakin from my down under region. Thankfully I brought a towel to sit on. I just took an antibiotic and resting in bed writing this review. No pain meds needed yet. *Crosses finger*

Unfortunately, CoolSculpting did not work at all...

Unfortunately, CoolSculpting did not work at all for me and I still have problems in my abdomen area. After almost a year of exercising and seeing no major changes from CoolSculpting I began to research other procedures. I first was leaning more toward Smartlipo but then I discovered Dr. Seckel. He provided me a video which showed the difference between the lasers used in Smartlipo vs. Slimlipo. It provided insight as to how much fat each laser technique was removing. Lets just say it helped changed my mind and I set up a consultation with him on 4/19/13.

The consultation lasted about an hour, we went over medical history and what I wanted to get done. I met with the doctor and his assistant and then took some before photos. I wanted to get entire abdomen done- especially my upper and lower abdomen pooch. I will post before pictures of my trouble areas later.

I was quoted a price of about $5,400 which included the anesthesia. I have a pre-op appointment on 5/13 and my surgery date will be on 5/28.

I haven't had the procedure done yet; however, Dr. Seckel was extremely knowledgeable during consultation. He and his associate Dr. Doherty helped work with Palomar to have the Slimlipo technique get FDA approval and even helped develop the lasers. When deciding about the procedure I definitely wanted someone board certified.
