One Year, 9 Months Post Op
My side profile has definitely changed from what it looked like up to the 5 month post op mark. I find that I liked that side profile much more than the side profile I have now. As for the front profile, it is still very swollen and I think when all the swelling goes down - it will look the same as before. I compared photos from before surgery to now, and the tip is about the same size, and the top of the bridge was thinner before (I think it is thicker right now due it still being very swollen).
I visited my surgeon in October of 2018, and he had mentioned that the swelling may take up to two years to fully go away. I don’t think the swelling will go down that much by July 2020, but my fingers are crossed. I still have a very hard time smelling things, and the tip of my nose is still rock hard.
I had another appointment with my surgeon for March 25 2020, which ended up being cancelled due to COVID-19. I have reached out to surgeons in New York for consultations for a revision rhinoplasty.

During my consultation with dr. Asaria I asked the nurse about "what if it doesnt turn out right" or I'm unhappy. Your review made me want to ask that but she said they fix anything that becomes an issue and most of the time it's an easy fix done under local anesthesia. I dont believe this fully so I'm really reconsidering this doctor.
I'm booking a mother post-op appointment with them and they're going to give me kenalog steroids again to see if that will help with the swelling/hardness. They responded back and said they would like to see me about the scent issue because they agree that's not normal. I'll keep you updated on how everything goes
Thank you please do! If a doctor will commit to the patient not brush you off, since it's extremely expensive, then I'd consider. At this time I'm so turned off from reviews of doctors telling patients "oh well you'll like it after 1 year" etc

One Year & One Month Post Op.
I am unhappy with the final result of my rhinoplasty. I am annoyed because after one year, I am still having difficulty smelling things like candles. I have requested for more kenalog steroids at the end of this month, and I am looking into revision rhinoplasty in the United States.
I feel like I wasted $12,000.

What is the name of your doctor?
Jamil Asaria from Face Cosmetic Surgery Toronto
Just as a recommendation since I've done my own research, the best rhinoplasty surgeon in the US that I have found is Dr. Eric Joseph in west orange, NJ. Look at his before/after pictures on here and his website (google his name). He has performed some insane transformations and has great reviews. I'm sorry about your experience so far and I hope everything goes well for you.
Thank you so much
Just wanted to chime in. I had mine done a 9 months ago and honestly most of your results should have been evident as soon as you got cast off. It was for me but I also had large dorsal hump and the Change was a little more drastic. I think your nose looks great but your opinion is the only one that matters to your face. Did they do open or closed? One of the best surgeons is actually in DC and he only does Noses and is on board for rhinoplasty procedures. He only does open. I would get ahold of that guy. I used someone else and found out about him a week before surgery and would have lost like 3000 so I proceeded with other doc who was Great as well.
It's the Naderi institute. Dr Naderi is the guy who approves procedures and only does Nose surgery that's who you want. He has videos on YouTube too.
Thank You
Hello! I am doing my rhinoplasty with Dr. Jamil Asaria on September 5th 2019. I am getting nervous seeing your result, can you tell me what you did not like? Did you had thick skin?
Thanks in advance,
Thanks in advance,
I don't like that my nose looks the same as it did before. My main issue with my nose was a tiny bump on the bridge and it is still noticeable.
When I returned to work after my surgery, I had coworkers asking me when I was going to have it done. One year post op and I'm still disliking the same things about my nose that I disliked before my surgery.
The tip of my nose does have thicker skin but the bridge does not.

Thank you for messaging me, I have bulbous nose tip and I hate it. Its a big complex, and I choose Dr.Asaria because he had great reviews. I have thick as well, and its really expensive. I need to rethink about it.
She did it with Dr. Jamil Asaria from Face Toronto. One of the best in Canada apparently....
