Still not sure... Buffalo, NY

I went and got this procedure done yesterday. I'm not sure what to think. I can't really tell if I got good results cause I'm a little swollen, it does look like the jaw line has improved if you look from the side, not much difference head on though.. First the procedure is not painless. It's not that bad either but there is pain involved. They stick you with lots of needles to numb you at the spots they are going to stick the thread in. Total I had 12 needles, so that hurts. The rest is just pressure and rubbing to get the thread through to the other side. When they finish with this you feel an immediate tightness. Immediately after, your still numb so don't feel anything but the tightness. A few hours later I was sore. I applied ice packs and took Advil. I slept pretty good but when I woke up this morning I was definitely sore enough to ice again and take Advil. But I also have some hives that are hot and a little itchy. I'm hoping I'm not allergic to the material they used. I took an Allegra and am going to see how I feel by this afternoon. It's very soon. It at this exact point in time I am slightly regretting doing this. I hope as time passes, I change my mind. I will keep updating this post and will add photos when I get them from the doc (before and after)

I always get a chuckle from those who post about this procedure and claim they went out shopping or back to work immediately following the procedure. I find that very hard to believe.

I saw results for about 1/2 a day because of the swelling but was back to my droopy self the next day. The procedure is a joke. I hope you've been pleasantly surprised since you posted.

Lol I have gone out after a procedure often...and am ok..until the anesthesia wears off...

Then...i cannot get home fast enough and am exhausted

I specifically said "this" procedure because I've gone out after botox, fillers, etc and it's no big thing. This procedure, however, is different. Have you had the Silhouette Instalift and then gone out shopping after the procedure?

I had this procedure about a month ago and attended a baseball game later that night lol. I found it to be minimally invasive and noticed immediate results. I had zero bruising, just the small holes from the needle where the lidocain was administered, which were easily covered with make up. :)

I have not. I am very unhappy with the results! As a matter a fact when I went in for my follow up and the doc had my before and after photos side by side and said "there's slight improvement here in this one" I said sorry to say that's my before! DONT GET THIS PROCEDURE, it did nothing
July 11, 2017
I remember when my doc had my before and after up on his computer screen and was trying to point out the improvements, I almost wanted to karate chop him. It was more like, let me get out my magnifying glass because the changes were so incredibly minimal it was insulting....and mostly due to lighting or facial expression.

I too could've gone out the night after procedure if I applied some makeup delicately. But to say as I've read on another post, that you left the docs office and went out shopping and back to work -- is just silliness. Very misleading.

I will post the before and after photos when I get them from the doc but there is no difference. The doc even got my pix mixed up and thought the b4 was the after! Would not recommend this procedure. I feel I threw $2800 out the window
July 11, 2017
You did throw $2800 out the window, and for that I'm sorry. The only recourse is a site like this which allows you to get the word out. Make sure you change your "not sure" to "would not recommend."

I will for sure right now,ty

Update a few more weeks have gone by and I see an improvement in my upper face but not the lower, doc is going to add another suture to lower and I think this will definitely help. I will update again in a few weeks with the finished result and photos

Keep us posted. Good luck.

I agree with Cathleen! I had the procedure a year ago and I literally threw $3000 out the window. Also it was very stressful afterward waiting for the bruising and “lumps” which stuck out when I smiled to go away (which they did, but weeks later!). Now I look exactly like I did before, which is fine! I will never do it again... it’s the only thing I’ve ever done that I’ve actually regretted!

I feel the same! I'm on my 4th day and I am still pretty sore. I've been appling packs, it dose help a little. My left side is swollen and bruised from my jaw up to below my eye, its come down some but after the procedure it looked like someone punched me. They say this is a lunchtime procedure, NOT! I'm so glad I took a couple days off work because there is no way I could've worked right after this. They say there is no down time procedure, NOT! you can't use makeup to cover the bruising for at least 48 hours, you can't floss your teeth, smile, must avoid excessive neck and facial movement, no sports, no saunas, no dental work, no facials or face down massages for up 4 weeks! Wasn't told any of this until afterwards, my fault I should've done my research before I did this! I've been going to my doctor for years, I think he is amazing so I don't blame him. I'm just not sure about this particular procedure. Halfway through I had to have the doctor stop so I could vomit I almost passed out, and that is so not like me! I've had breast implants, tummy tuck, three kids, Botox and fillers without any problems. As of now I can't see any improvements maybe slightly on my right side where it's not swollen. But to be honest as of right now fillers do a better job, especially for the price! I was so hoping this would be amazing! I definitely regret it right now!

I just had the procedure yesterday and the initial sticks for numbing was painful. After being numb you only feel slight tugging or pressure. I laid low last night and today I could pass for not having a procedure done. Definitely being cautious and not working out or trying to make big expressions. Love the results so far. Jawline looks amazing!

Who was your doc and how many sutures did you have per side?
November 15, 2017
Dr Nazereth and I had 3 on each side. Now that time has passed, I actually think I would do again but I think you need 4 per side. The upper face has an improvement but the lower does not, I'm not sure if the lower is just harder to lift maybe? I would try it again though, I feel like the upper has enough improvement to try the lower again.

It is a very minimal lift from what I’ve read. Save your money for a real facelift from a plastic surgeon

There may actually be a difference now, just be patient

I actually notice a difference now in my midface. It did take a while, I think it takes a while for the collegen to build. The lower face I'm still unhappy with but the doc is adding another suture for me (at no cost)

*unhappy with the lower face***

Going on a full year for me and still waiting for that collegen to build. Did the additional suture make a difference?
