I had been thinking about doing this for about 8 months. I read a lot of reviews but since I didn't know very many people in the area I decided to get 5 consultations. I'm glad I did, the first doctor I saw was Dr. Donaldson in Columbus. I felt comfortable with him but the cost was over $17000 for all three procedures which was out of my budget. Next I went to Dr, Sullivan her cost was around $14000. I liked her but she really thought I didn't need the implants just the lift. Plus she had me all worried. about the nipple sensation being gone. Next I went to Dr. McMahan, he was nice but he told me I couldn't get implants with a lift because there wasn't enough skin, it freaked me out because he said the skin might die and my breast tissue could turn black. Also he told me I had to have a catheter which I was totally against unless absolutely necessary. His cost would have been around $11000 because no implants done. At this point I was so confused I decided to try someone in Dayton Ohio to get Another opinion. I went to see Dr. Schmidt there. He told me the same thing Dr. McMahan that he would absolutely not do implants on me at the same time as the lift. Cost for him was around $12000 for lift and tummy tuck. I left very frustrated. I let it go for a few weeks then all of a sudden a lady who does my hair, my chiropractor and a lady who does my nails all came back with a name of a Dr. That they all new several people who went to him and had great experiences. I thought maybe he is the one the, his name is Dr. Robert Houser. I went to see him, since I had already seen several Dr. I could get right to the point of asking questions. First off I asked him about not doing implants with a lift for me, he said that it does get a lot more complicated when you add that level of detail on top of each other but it doesn't mean it can't be done, Dr's do thousands of them all the time. He answered all my questions and the cost was $13500. You get a little discount if you with cash also. More details to come

Thanks, does your tummy feel thick through the middle? Also I feel like I've retained a ton of water?
May 5, 2014
Yes :( I have researched it a lot on here and from what I can find, the swelling is "normal", especially in the first 4-8 weeks. I think I didn't realize how significant it would be. My breasts are healing wonderfully and so is my abdominal incision. Just the damn swelling and feeling like I have a barrel around my mid section. Yucky. It is also super numb midline, top to bottom. How does yours feel?

Yes, it does feel pretty numb in the middle. I made the mistake of stepping on the scale and it read 10 heavier than before I went in. That is a good way to describe it about feeling like there is a barrel around you, very weird feeling. My breast still feel swollen but it's only been 4 days. I'll be glad to get the drain out in Few days. My incision looks pretty good so far, have you put anything on yours to help healing? Someone told me to eat pineapple to help with scaring, not sure it works lol but I'm eating it any way. I love this network to be able to talk about it? It's not like I announced it to everyone I know I was having it done.

I have been taking bromelain( the enzyme in pineapple from day one. I also take arnica, which is supposed to help with swelling also. I was up 10 pounds at the beginning too and I promise it all fell of quickly. I am just ready to feel "normal" but I know that is a ways off. I have used coconut oil around everything but didn't put it on the incision until after they were closed. Dr houser said that massaging them wih any kind of moisturizer once they are closed will help break down the scars. He said there are other options down the road but not to spend the $$ if you don't need it. My breasts feel very normal now. Still sore along the bottom incision but no more of that engorged feeling. Day by day. Get plenty of rest :)

I nursed my children and seemed like I never got any fullness back. I would always wear a VS push up bra which helped but I just didn't like the way I looked without it on all the time. It was hard to decide what size to because I was a B cup but just had a lot of sagging. I'm not very tall so I didn't want to go very big. I decided on a D cup. I'm day 4 into post surgery. Still swelling in my breasts. Happy so far with tummy tuck except I feel very thick in the middle which I guess is normal. I had so much skin from having such big babies. The post picture is just 2 days after surgery to get an idea.

Doing better, still very sore. I'm tired of wearing this wrap, I did however end up getting a spanex to wear under clothes which helps. Swelling is going down some in my tummy. Thanks so much for asking!
May 12, 2014
I had the binder wrap thing too!!do you wear the wrap and spandex or did you find a good replacement. I am trying to be good and do what he says to but this thing sucks. I'm glad you are feeling better. It really does improve everyday. Let's fast forward a month or two! :)

I am wearing the binder they gave me when I'm at home but then the spandex thing when I go out as my clothes fit better with it but I am getting sick of it. Plus it's getting hot here which doesn't help wearing 3 layers of clothes. Thursday it will be 2 weeks, I think my Dr said I need to wear it for 4 weeks total. Also just got a few sports bras. I'm ready to go bra less at least at night. Not sure how long with implants and lift you need to wear support bra 24/7. I am very happy with the results so far. Will post updated pictures soon.
May 13, 2014
Oh cool! So spanx? I have always been a 24/7 bra girl before surgery so it is crazy to think of going braless!! I bet I could though! I agree that the 3 layers are getting old quick. Hate it!! I bought a squeem that I will beg to start wearing this week, but it is even tighter than the binder so in am hoping for squeem at night and spanx through the day. I am still swollen at 3 1/2 weeks :(.

The line to the right is from t shirt under the binder, still have some swelling in tummy and breast but it is looking better each day. Go back to the dr in 2 days. Still also have a little bruising as well.
