Welp! On April 7 th I was 1 year PO TT an February 23 I was 3 years PO BBL. I must say that if I had I had to do it all again I may just not do it. But now that I have it was the best thing I could have ever gone through. Physically and mentally. I lost what I thought and considered great friends because of jealousy. I guess they were never really meant friends. I found myself. I got my sexy back. ( I’m da [RS bleep] believe dat woe) lmbo. Seriously, It took a while but My husband had to adjust. And So did I.
Today I got my belly button pierced. I’m just in awe as I look back on where I was and where I am now. I’m still a bit swollen above my navel but Jenny in the office ( I talked to her today) said it’s normal to have some swelling for over a year. But something tells me that maybe its not fluid. And that it’s actually a fat pocket that dr C failed to get. Either way I’ve lost 22 pounds and it gone down but now i think I want Lipo of that area. Just to even it out. It’s not a big big big deal. But if I can find a great price with a good doctor I’m gonna go for it. Maybe next year. Treat myself with a touch up for my 40th. I’ve attached some pictures from tonight the yellow arrows show the swelling above my navel and the other is where I had the abcess and dr c had to reopen my incision to drain the puss. The scar did not heal evenly.

So I am now over 9 months PO. I absolutely love my results. I’m so blessed that I got in with dr Cochran when I did. It’s the BEST thing I could have ever done for myself. I still swell tho. When I wake up I’m totally flat but by days end I have a Lil bulge atop my belly button. I’m ok with it tho. I still sleep in the garment dr C gave me and I don’t wear any during the day. Maybe I should. I’m just tired of needing to have it on. My scar is healing. I had used any scar treatments since I was 2 months PO. I’ll start back in January. That will determine if I get a scar cover up tatoo for my bday. I’ve attached pics so u can see the swelling. This is at around 5pm. I did speak with Jenny at the office she said it’s normal to still swell up to and sometimes over a year.

I know it’s been a while but.. I’m back for an update. I’m now about 4 days shy of being 7 months post op. I must say this is the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. It was sad o hear of dr Cochran’s passing. He was really a great ps, very down to earth and caring. Wtbs... I didn’t go for my “skin only” revision in August. I could have with dr P, but imo he’s just not good enough for me. Tbh as time went by I honestly didn’t think I needed it. So I probably would have cancelled anyway.
How have I been?
Well I’ve been great. I have all mobility back. I have been working out. Life has Ben so good to me that I’ve gained 20 pounds. lol. I’m working on getting that off me. I still use my binder that dr C gave me. I had to replace it a few times as they get a bit ragged over time but my hubby gets them from work for me. It’s like a security blanket. I can go without it but mentally I need it ( if that makes sense ).
Swelling?
I do still swell from time to time. Actually everyday. It not at all bad tho. I can feel it. But hey it’s nothing like it used to be. Each month get better and better.
What I have noticed is that compression is key ????. Back in June/July I had noticed a bulge at the top of my abdominal area. And it was because of lack of compression. For example you can have your garment on, but if u have on jeans and you’re sitting, more compression is at the bottom more than the top. So I had to buy Lipo foam for extra compression at the top. (I hope u guys get the picture) but after a week of the extra compression I was totally evenly flat again.
I’m not soooooo happy with my bb but I can live with it. I did get about 10 cortisone shot by my local PS. And all they did was soften my bb around the edges. Before it was a hard tight ring bb. Now it a soft ring. Still it looks like a small dark hole.
I’m happy with it but over all. In certain outfits I do look like an atl stripper/vixen but most days I just look normal. Not made. My waist is snatched but not tooooooo much that it looks unauthentic. I just look thick. I hope u guys enjoy the pics. Ask anything you’d like.
