2 month update
Just wanted to give a little update. I’m doing well so far. I have been released to workout without restrictions. I start back with my personal trainer tomorrow. I’ve done some assisted pull-ups as well as other workouts. I’m almost done with my 30 day squat challenge. I think things will go fine. Dr. Song is pleased with my healing thus far. I am also, except the right side of my scar is a little higher than the other side. Dr. Song said this can be fixed and I will go back in 3 months for a checkup and discuss this further. I’ve been using bio oil mostly. I’ve used scaraway but I would get little openings which would cause me to stop using the strips. Not sure if my skin is sensitive and need more healing before I can use them. Dr. Song said some people’s bodies can take longer to absorb the internal stitches which cause little openings. Overall I’ve extremely pleased and have been showing off my body. I hope to have some abs in a few months but I need to start eating better again. I lost some more weight after the surgery but maintained my weight for the last 3 1/2 weeks (I’ve been having a cheat meal or snack daily). Starting tomorrow my personal trainer will be tracking my progress and I won’t be able to dodge him like I have been lol.
Scar
Here is a picture of my scar. There are 2 areas where it’s really dark. Those places had a difficult time closing, but they are closed now. I started using ScarAway and I also began using bio oil after my stitches were removed. I know my scar will lighten up overtime like my c section scar, but this thing is dark. Either way I’m okay bc I don’t plan to wear a bikini or anything. I love my belly button though. It looks so natural to me. It reminds me of my belly button before having 3 big babies lol.
Getting Ready For The Gym
I was getting ready for the gym and decided to take some pics. I’ve been walking 5-6 times a week on an incline. Last week, I did some upper body workouts with light weights. I’m also on day 9 of my 30 day squat challenge. I need to work on my butt lol. The flatness was curving more, but of course this surgery put a hold on my workout routine.
