Almost 8 weeks

Almost 8 weeks and things get better every day. Healing has been a process, and I have had some issues, but nothing major. I did have a small opening under each breast at the T, but they have finally closed. I did have my drain for 3 weeks before it was under 50 cc' s and could be removed. I did have a lot of fluid built up on one hip. It looked like a baseball sitting on my hip, but Dr Cochran drained it at my one month mark after I went in for a check up. I started back at the gym a couple of days a week doing a little cardio, arms and legs. I am loving my new body and excited to see the changes as I continue to heal and workout. I still wear my binder because I still swell a lot. I have also found a new love for shopping.lol.

10 days

Today makes 10 days post op. I went to see Doc yesterday and he said everything is fine. I'm concerned about one hip swelling way too much and my anchor incision under my lift are very irritated. I am finally feeling pretty good and liking what I see.

Hey RS! I have wanted to have a flat stomach all...

Hey RS! I have wanted to have a flat stomach all my life. I have been over weight since birth. I recently lost 100 pounds from my highest weight of 309 when I was pregnant with my daughter. My highest nonpregnancy weight was 297. It has been a long road, and a lot of ups and downs, but for the last two years I have been really committed to working out consistently and making better choices. I started researching tummy tucks about 7 years ago when I first started thinking about losing weight. Now that I have lost so much I have a lot of extra skin. I look so much better in my clothes now that I have dropped from a 22/24 to a 12/14, but not so much without them. The more the pounds dropped the more my breast and stomach would hang down. Now that my 40th birthday is a few months away I decided to treat myself to a mommy makeover.

My research on realself lead me to Dr. Cochran. His work looks amazing! Thank you to all the ladies who posted so I could find him. His price was right. I could get my breast and tummy done for the cost of just a tummy tuck near Atlanta. He also made me very comfortable when I went for my consult.

Monday morning at 7:15 I arrived for surgery. I was in and out before I  knew it. I don't remember much about that day. I stayed on top of my meds and felt very little pain.

Tuesday I experienced the burning and itching that so many others mentioned. The most painful thing I experienced was the trapped gas. It was horrible!

Wednesday  I felt a bit better, still itchy,  a little burning and dealing with gas issues. Not much pain other than that. I do use a walker I got from goodwill for 3 bucks, and I purchased a plastic chair from family dollar to put in the shower.

Friday, day 5. I have had a headache since yesterday that won't go away. I finally went to the bathroom, and I have been taking only Tylenol for the past two days. I am very swollen and I can't wait for the healing process to be over. Not in any real pain just very uncomfortable and ready to be able to move how I want. I am also anxious to see my final results.
